Where Are You Photos [2023]

Absolutely. Thats what I did, too. I made the new house one giant “I love me” wall. It helped.

I don’t like to offer unsought-advice, but you might consider getting a dedicated simpit chair like the Boeing or whatever nonsense is offered these days, if you have room for it. The difference between simming at a desk versus with a realistic seating position/controls layout is pretty amazing. Then you’re not having to move flight controls when doing normal PC work.

I do :stuck_out_tongue:

I know that was TIC, but for nonsense, they are a pretty slick piece of kit and one of the few IKEA/DIY/Flat Pack solutions that offer a central joystick mount for a realistic price.

When I did the sums it was going to cost me as much (if not more) in parts and material to build something identical?

It does mean that you need two set-up’s. One for ‘Office’ work and one for flight simming and down the track, a third for driving/racing sims, and then… this is where I hand over to the certified Bad Influencers

But hey @BeachAV8R you not only have a room, but your entire house is now your man cave. Go for it son.

Oh, I didn’t even mean it tongue in cheek, I just literally don’t know/remember all the different options and brand names. They’re definitely awesome, and building yourself is a lot of time and effort, I agree with your conclusion. I’d find one that offers both central and side stick and then run both the sim and the desktop off the same PC, just plug a second set of KB&M or maybe just wireless.

We are back to this then… the ‘Commercial’ and ‘Military’ Editions are functionally identical. The only difference is whether you want faux sheepskin or green/OD fabric?

Finally had a clearish day, skiing with manboy in Ischgl.

So much snow….

The dot in the middle is my helmet after I tried to stop next to him and didn’t spot the drift.

…some time later, taking a rest after digging out.

@BeachAV8R , hope you hang in there. Stay stoic, stay strong. Your place is going to be fabulous. Just a new phase buddy.
So for the rest of you… i went out last night. Im in Doha w my lady. I went to a bar w her and i stand before this… I looked for a data plate to no avail… looks like a P&W 9 Cylinder but it could be anything to me…

The next day we were sitting there and saw this. A very impressive 12 Cyl air cooled beast. Again no data was available. The girl at the bar said maybe it was a Ferrari engine. Looks like a 40 plus liter engine to me, so no way.

Thanks, I took that image this evening from a mine dump called Halde Rheinpreußen that features a small tower in the shape of an old Miner’s Lamp: https://das-geleucht.de/

You are looking at the A42-Bridge over the Rhine between Duisburg-Baerl and Duisburg-Beek and part of the largest steel mill in Germany (Thyssen-Krupp Steel). It covers an area as big as some cities and employs about 10.000 people, it is huge!

We did an aviation themed tree this year. Most expensive tree topper I’ve ever had.
