Where Are You Photos [2024]

You develop a sense for these things. Went below minimums in CLT on our way home this morning. Diverted to Greensboro…and timed out of duty time. Waiting for day shift pilots to drive up here and fly us home…

What a machine! How does she fly?

In exchange for suitcases full of Grants and Franklins.

Although they are in a barn. Lemme guess, it is the coldest, wettest, shittiest day for ages so the ewe’s have decided to drop their lambs? That’s what they do around here.

Good luck with the additions to the flock.

We brought them in last weekend just ahead of some awful weather. Typically the Ewe’s have been enjoying the life of luxury in the barn. Think Diva in a posh hotel.

It’s unusually mild at the minute, I’m convinced we’re going to get some bad weather again before this winter is done. It’s always the question of when to let them out again post lambing. The mild weather makes the grass grow which they need, but where I am, we could get snow at the end of May.

Thank fudge we’re only a small holding.

I’m on early’s with boss lady doing the later nights. She can only stand it for a 5 day stretch, then I’m on double shift. Expect some kind of nonsense post at random hours by next weekend.

Probably a poor analogy, but when our twins were born and I had night shift, I would have gone mad without beer in the little fridge that we put in their room for bottles. Beer and a little Metallica helped keep my head for the couple of weeks that they were tag-teaming us for feedings and diaper changes LOL.

Thats me getting high!

Spent about three hours with that apple tree to get it pruned back to any resemblance of how those things should look.

Continuing the baby critter theme, my brother sent me this today looking out of his home office window. The young ones are too smart (or too small) for their own good.

Aww bless them.

Our first lot go back out at the weekend, the weather is shocking at the minute, nowhere near as nice as at your brothers.

I’s always a tense time as they find any excuse to get the wrong side of fences, resulting in frequent checks. Fortunately technology to the rescue…. “Hey sweetie, I think we need a small drone to save time checking the lambs”

been there.

Me: I think I need to get a drone for checking the fences?

Wife: Or you could get off your lazy arse and go for a walk!

Got to check out this Piaggio Avanti that pulled up next to us in St Augustine today… I’m old enough to remember what that kind of panel looks like… :joy: I’d be right at home in it…
