Been in Guatemala for five days… seeing some sights. This hike to Volcan Fuego about did me in. Has to be one of the hardest hikes I’ve done…
Yeah, but look at that view.
Yes that is a nice backpack.
Sounds like an awesome trip!
Btw: Guatemala is subject of a very poor German joke. It goes like this:
A: where did you go for your vacation?
B: Central America
A: Did you bring some good paintings?
B: ??? Why would I?
A: I heard they have Guatemala there.
Guatemala sounds kinda like “Gute Maler” (Good painters) in some German dialects.
American Helicopter Museum, West Chester, PA. Half the photos failed to load. It’s a fun museum. It was a surprise to learn how this one part of Pennsylvania was the center of early American rotary flight, both gyro and helicopter. If you happen to be local, it seems to be a great place to bring kids. Very hands-on. It was a little sad to see the decline of the Boeing 360, failed Chinook replacement and technology demonstrator for the Osprey. Somehow the interior of the cockpit was covered in bird-crap. Overall a fun learning experience.
I’m going to have to make a point of visiting that museum if I ever end up in Philadelphia for a couple of days.
Big shout to simulator technicians and maintainers.
4 visitors from Minot are currently at fairford. They are leaving at 5 am and coming back around 8 or 9 so I’ve not seen them yet. But had a job nearby so snuck to have a quick Gawk
Never noticed the little memorial either before
I found the story about him:
I think there’s a show of force going on despite what the grown ups think is happening.
They did a tour of the middle east last week
Apparently working all morning then getting a little drunk in the afternoon and randomly bolting a NATO hitch onto the Wifes hilux because it looks badass is not an acceptable birthday present
Women are weird
indeed they are a mystery
She said, and i quote “it looks like a bloody giant crab claw”
I still dont see the issue
