Transferring my new bycicle from Vienna to Graz. The plan was to do it in 2 days but unfortunately my brother in law had an accident today and suffered a concussion and a broken cheekbone on the way. After they released him from the hospital, it was too late to finish (and I was spent from rushing to the hospital). Thank goodness he wore a helmet, otherwise he’d be a vegetable right now.

G O R G E O U S ! !

Taken last night, evidently somewhere near Morton MS as we flew home to Austin last night. The Milky Way came out very well considering it is an iPhone shot.

I have had a busy few days helping a friend set up and help out with their stand at the Braidwood Agricultural Show. She founded and has run (almost single handedly) a heavy horse rescue organisation for over 15 years now.

I have known Kazz (Karen) for longer than that, since before we both had grey hair. Despite the numerous personal hardships and setbacks in life, she still keeps giving and has a heart at least as big as the horses she cares for and rehomes:

I didn’t really get a chance to take photos of anything but horses. However here is one for you @troll. The first time I have seen one IRL. A Norweigan Fjord Pony.

Greetings from cold and wet Portugal, where I’m helping with the olive trees. The best trees are hundreds of years old, hence the association of olive branches with the concept of peace. Olive culture can only happen if there’s peace.

I’m out in SoCal right now… I think this is the first time I have seen a Kaman K-MAX in action…

I’m not sure exactly what they were doing, but obviously electrical work of some sort.

Dear lord, hard to believe the weather is warm in other parts of the world

We have been experiencing a deep freeze for the past week with highs of -20 C, and will remain in deep freeze until friday. Durn polar vortex!
