Green day headlined today. I’m not a huge fan but they absolutely blew the place up. Incredible show. Also saw a rare acoustic set by Funeral for a friend. It was hayfever… i wasn’t crying…you were.
Rise against, Jimmy eat world, Weezer, Boston Manor…all amazing.
We left about 20 mins into Korn and walked straight out. I only had a couple of beers in the morning and fell asleep in the arena watching Meshuggah (which was an achievement) and feel fine today.
Wifes watch says she did 38000 steps yesterday
I dream about it. I cant even imagine what it must’ve been like to strap on that very Masculine piece of equipment. Then to have x2 Mk 108s inches from you. To me, I have always had a special place in my heart for the Komet. It was the One off that will never be again. But as @schurem said, it takes a special set of xxxx to sit in one that has been fueled…
One thing about this place. I was so close that I could touch all the displays. Of course, you respect the work and you don’t touch… but I felt so close. Many aircraft I saw for the first time. First time seeing a 262, 163, D9, Early P-40 (you can see “E” everywhere). THe B-25 had 6 fwd firing 50’ plus the nose gunner. I beleive the top turret can fire forward too. That is 9 then, phew!
The museum was supa clean. Nice place. It will not be my last …
