Took some photos of the Aurora near my house in rural North-East Scotland

Knock Castle just along the road from me, pretty spooky place with a grim history. (Even spookier with a torch illuminating it)

I’m getting quite familiar with this place… second time this year already. Unfortunately I landed, handed the plane over to the next crew and went straight to the terminal to catch an airline flight home. Beautiful scenery and believe it or not, a lot warmer than the last time I was here.

The snow is melting… slowly. The dog (chocolate lab) found the only open water-mud hole and dove in. Of course.

We had a chocolate lab - the only dog I’ve known to chase light on a wall like a cat. I had to be careful with my watch in the evenings, if it reflected light on the wall he’d charge at it.

Goddamn your life sucks. I bet you curse fate every morning.

That seems like a great place @Yooper! Must be sweet during summer.

It is! The view is amazing, the lake less so. It’s a luke-warm 3 foot deep mud bottomed lake. But as long as you don’t try to swim, fish, or boat, it’s great! Luckily there’s lots of usable lakes nearby.

That’s literally Columbia’s master planning process for building the ballpark where they did.

The reflection in the window looked like 1960’s computer technology at first glance Navy. Lol I really looked to see what brand of computer too.

Ah…Columbia, SC… Please leave before June or you will spontaneously combust. Hottest place on the planet I think. That bowl they sit in just acts like a lens for heat and humidity. Went to the zoo down there last year and was really tempted to jump the fence and swim in the arctic mammals display…

This is literally the only reason I’ve ever gone to Columbia in my life, even with it being just over an hour from Charlotte. Every other time it’s just been somewhere to drive past on the way to Charleston.

What about the Exchange at Ft Jackson LOL?

Actually, I’ve had some good times there when I’ve had to go on business. It’s a college town after all.
