We are old and feeble…lol…standing on our feet for three bands wore us out. Our seats were great…but the lawn certainly has its advantages.
As usual, a great crowd and a fantastic venue. We didn’t catch Hirie, Tribal Seeds was great, and I fell in love with the bass player for Matisyahu. Slightly Stoopid was really good…although a few songs in the middle of their set had a bit more of an up tempo ska-punk pace to them that just wasn’t as funky as their more reggae rock beats. But they closed the show with a series of awesome tunes bringing Matisyahu and Hirie back on stage for an authentic jam session. Closer to the Sun was perfect. Charlie Stewart (Chali 2na) surprised me with two songs accompanied by Slightly Stoopid that had some awesome flow. The crowd really responded to him.
Any-who…great night and I’m beat. Catch you next time @Navynuke99 - San Diego put in a good showing tonight!
Oh man, hoping I get to go to the JGSDF’s yearly live-fire display this year. It’s always a lottery so few people get in, but I have a few buddies in the GSDF that might be able to get me in. Can’t wait to hear the thunder.
A little more from Åben Hede (Open Heeth) aabenhede.dk The yearly demonstration of the Danish Army in our biggest training area.
They showcase their new equipment and several groups that maintain older MBT’s and other army vehicles, in working condition, get to drive around and do live fireing with them.
Apologies for being lite on the site. Internet has been out since Thursday night last week. Cable company is supposed to be coming today to take a look-see…
Maybe they ran the numbers and found out that just not offering an actual service and just keeping people faked out on the phones will maximize the next quarter’s profit?
