Paul, I imagine that Vegas would be somewhat subdued during the pandemic. What’s your take on how everyone is coping under the circumstances?
I can imagine that you would be in the first group who gets the vaccine. Any word from the company how that will unfold? We’ve been told that as food/beverage that we would be in the second group. But unsure if accurate. IMHO, the Moderna seems to be the slightly better of the two options (as if this morning).
I have to say I have never seen Vegas so quiet. The roads around the strip are eerily quiet, although there was plenty of traffic on the main highways. Restaurants can only operate to 25% of capacity right now, and hotel rooms are relatively cheap. Our Uber driver who took us to the hotel was pretty vocal about how business is being strangled due to draconian measures vs only a small percentage of the population dying of COVID etc etc. I have to bite my tongue a lot when that argument is raised. It is easy for me to disagree while I’m sitting here, fortunate enough to have a good job, not being financially affected by this crisis. Still, we are now at a point where we are having a 9/11 event every day in the US. Perspective is everything I guess.
Back on point, Vegas must be losing millions every day right now.

Yes. We received an e-mail about it this morning. Apparently the FAA has also stated that we are OK to take it, but that we will have to abstain from flying for 48 hours after taking it (and the booster several weeks later). I wish I could donate my spot on the vaccine list to my Dad or Mom (both in their 70s). My Dad in particular has had a lot of health challenges (thanks Agent Orange!) - but he is hanging in there. That said, the military (VA) has been getting better and I am hopeful they will be able to receive the vaccine in short order too.
