Aww man, so sorry to hear that. But you will find a way. Don’t give up, don’t give in. That engine cowl needs haulin’ and there ain’t no red tape stopping you. Not for long at least. It sure is a sh1tshow. Commiserations bud.
The city of Leiden today, straight out of my camera on monochrome mode. Love the my ‘new’ Nikon D610 so far. It has a lot of quality of life things that I was missing on the D3200.
Now I’ve had a couple of hours sleep im feeling a little less murderous. I’ve got other work so I’ve just had to move on to plan B. Its not the end of the world. Just lost a big portion of my work. Its irritating as I’ve been doing it for years and never had a problem. Just bad timing. Hopefully when the spring comes my other work will pick up and ill be in a better position
Bit of moonlight driving tonight for a mate, never been to a PROPER busy pallet network hub before. Its like a ballet of forklifts. All shouting at each other. Its quite impressive
Look at that lovely white engine cowl
too soon
Is that the Atlas that hit all three engines? How hard do you have to land to hit three of the four engines… Anyway - found it interesting that the Atlas I took a picture of was flying under a FedEx callsign…
Probably got hired by FedEx to fly a FedEx route with perhaps even FedEx pilots.
Not sure on the engines, that cowl was probably the nearest spare that they could slap on the engine at the time, right now cargo is booming so you want your aircraft to be in the air all the time.
That was N408MC… Hard to read the registration in that pic, but it looks like an MC at the end.
My original pic it is still hard to read…looks like maybe N418MC…maybe it hit so hard it creased the 0 into a 1…
Oh yes, the Nikons of that generation are still fantastic cameras, looks like you’re putting it to good use. Some really nice pictures there
Friemersheim, an old village on the Riverbanks of the Rhine in Duisburg, Germany is surrounded by heavy industry. The Hüttenwerke Krupp-Mannesmann are right across the Rhine to the east, to the south there’s a large container terminal and to the north a terminal for cars. The sound of the industry is always present: Even if you can’t always see it, it’s never quiet and when it’s dark with a cloud cover the sky looks like in my post above about every 30-60minutes, it’s a little surreal:
.
Thank you! that means a lot to me!
A full frame from 6 years ago is mightily decent still for the home users! A Z7 or R7 would be nice but that’s way out of my budget!
In line for a 3 Doors Down concert?
