Where You Are Photos [2021]

I’m the same. Don’t want to create an empire. Just enough to give me an easy home work balance. Admittedly I have a little way to go to achieve that but I am definitely making solid progress this month. I actually paid myself (pennies) this month which was nice lol

Thats pretty heartbreaking as well. You find that a lot with older guys who don’t realise times have changed here as well. A guy I worked for driving a tipper had no control over his prices. Would quote a job locally for £35 but it cost £120 just to fire the lorry up and put a driver in it for half a day.

One would go broke right quick in the industry the company I work for is in. All of our product is primarily steel, which has literally gone above double it’s cost in some cases. Fortunately, not all the products we sell have seen such an increase directly but it has translated to anywhere from 15% to 100% increases in price overall as I recall, and the market is so volatile that vendor quotes are in some cases are only valid for one week and if and when price changes come, they are in effect immediately and without prior warning due to steel fluctuations. The time a customer takes to accept a quote could see the most of the profit vanish if the timing is just wrong enough.

Subtle hints of Swiss chocolate not surprisingly…! :mountain: :switzerland:

Our first delivered airplane was in a corporate interior with the option to make it an air ambulance combi later. A good bit of our business these days is also organ procurement teams, so this airplane will be transport for that purpose. Planes #2 and #3 will be in a dedicated air ambulance interior…hopefully receiving those by October and next March maybe.

I just listened, for ten minutes, to an administrator-type employee explain to some visitors how to use the coffee machine.

You must be at CAE Simuflight!

:joy:

Every year at CAE, they seem to spend the first 30 minutes (sometimes an hour) on the building tour and coffee makers…

Oh…no…I’m not at CAE. I’m grounded from sims too for some reason. We are switching to FlightSafety this year too…since PC24 training will be with them…

Citation will be in San Antonio - PC24 in Dallas…we just can’t escape Texas! (This should be my last Citation recurrent I’d imagine…and no more King Air recurrent either…)

The end of an era Chris. I didn’t fly the Citation long enough to become attached to it, but I still miss flying the King Air.

I’m in the Central US for work and drove south from Topeka to Emporia to meet my best friend for dinner. He came up from Wichita. Afterwards, we went out to the airport to check out the F-4D on display. I wonder of MSFS has it?

Wish me luck troops. I am starting (weather permitting) my Single engine piston and tailwheel training this morning to learn to fly our gorgeous Eurofox. I’m extremely excited and read the manual back to front and am as ready as I can be.
I have flown it twice already and its lovely to take of and fly around but a right handful to land.
I love tailwheels. Fingers crossed I get my ratings
