X-Plane 12 ILS frequencies not in game

I ran into a bug and I’m hoping it’s just my machine, so I can fix it.

I was flying LAS-SLC and attempted an ILS 34R approach. Frequency is 109.5, identifier is ISLC. Well, much to my surprise, the identifier that came up was IMOY, which is the reciprocal runway, 16L. I hand flew it down and landed, but it got me wondering why.

I’ve tried on 4 different aircraft, all the same thing. I thought maybe the code only let’s the landing runway according to winds come up, so I changed the winds to 164@5 (straight down the runway) and got the same thing.

edit I also tested those same 4 aircraft and none of them will catch and fly the localizer for any runway, and the frequency for 35 doesn’t appear at all.

Would a couple of you be willing to check yours to see if it does the same before I contact X-Plane? If you have ideas, I’m all ears.

you have the xp12 navdata updated ?

Isn’t there some setting in X-Plane that allows for downwind ILS frequencies (tailwind). I seem to recall there being something that set the ILS frequencies based on the wind direction so as not to allow for tailwind ILSs… Could that be it?

I will try to check that frequency tonight…getting ready to head to the sim for some training…

Just checked and 34R comes up correct for me. Should be worth noting 34R was the active. Do you remember your ATIS data?

However i have the latest Navigraph data.

Also @BeachAV8R brings up a good point. If you had the downwind ILS disabled and 16L was active, you would get 16L data instead of 34R data.

I had unchecked it years ago since X plane METAR was way behind until this recent update.

That did it. It all works fine now. What’s odd is I turned the winds so that 34R was active- put the winds right down the runway. Either way, thanks for the suggestion Beach, and thank you to those that checked it.

I maybe wrong here, but 164/05 would make 16L active. 340/05 would probably me enough to make 34R active.
