x55 and key mapping and il2 battle of Kuban

I have a problem, well many, but let start with x55 key mapping for il2 Bok

I want to use my saitek (madcatz) software to map the default keys to my HOTAS to take advantage of the mode settings.

However i found the following issue.

Example problem: the default mapping in game for fire weapon 2 is “left-Alt space”. When I map that to a button on my stick the game registers only the last key press, in this example “space”, which is actually the map for fire all guns. You can test this in game by

  1. mapping a key combination on your stick “e.g. shift b”
  2. go to settings in game and choose the “3rd column” for inputs 3. activate the “set key press for a given action”
  3. press the button on your stick mapped to “shift b”

The result you will see is the input sets as only “b”

This means combination keys, of which the default setup has many, wont work through the stick software at present. is there a work around, is this a delay thing?

Kindest Regards

I had a similar issue with my CH HOTAS in BoS. If I typed in a key command using Alt, pressing the button would just activate the other key and ignore alt. I was able to get around this by using the “record keystrokes” feature in the CH programming software. Not sure of it will resolve you issue, but might be worth a try.
