2024..and Beyond Speculation?

there are a fair few scenes in there that I genuinely cannot tell if they are real or not, some of pacific ww2 stuff looks fantastic and there is a clip with a phantom and bombs exploding in the background that looks like its straight out of a Vietnam newsreel, also I notice there is a lot going on with the M1 abrams, does this mean improvements for combined arms… the chinook also looks interesting

Missed the DCS: Iraq and DCS: MIG-29A part eh?

I literally just watched it. In a rush while doing something else but…Iraq looked a lot like Afghanistan. Or I need to watch again. Or something is off…

I think most of the scenes in the video were from Afghanistan. One scene was obviously Baghdad international and another desert sand scene possibly from Iraq. In the newsletter it says the Iraq map will be centered around the Baghdad area to start and then expand south later.

They sure do get a lot use out of the Mariana’s map as a Vietnam substitute in these videos

It’s not just me then [that’s noticed that for some time]

I’m trying to figure out what to do with the Phantom, mission-wise, from a NATO-centric, and historical, POV of course. NTTR is easy; works for basically anything (someday it will get more love).

Was the Bone at the begging a teaser for a new module, or just AI?

Yeah there was a ton of Abrams shots, guessing there has to be a reason behind it?

Cool news about the MIG-29, wasn’t expecting that at all.

btw its much better video at 1.25 speed, even Nick’s voice is at that speed finally listenable

I’m guessing just AI… but it would be an awesome flyable module.

The B-1 is critically under simulated over the years, and I know of only one title dedicated to it: B-1 Nuclear Bomber. I think in this day and age you either have to go “full rivet counting realism” (FRCR) or something that is obviously abstracted and “gamey,” like the classic Megafortress. Sadly I don’t think we’ll ever see a DCS module as the documentation to create a FRCR module will probably never be available.

Well I guess that we can take solace in that video being filthy with Chinooks. Forgive me father, but I have to admit being intrigued with the thought of piloting the beast.

I was having similar thoughts lately.

I mean, the ‘Bone’ is close to a fighter-bomber; think large F-111. And, is it not controlled with a stick? Plus the go really fast down low-ness of a the Tornado (and -111 too of course). Seems like a no brainer.

I am really hoping that the BUFF and the Intruders weren’t just AI.

Yeah…everything else in that video was cool and all…but the Intruder…man…

I’ll need one with 505 on the side.

Red Star Simulations Where Art Thou? MiG-17 is sadly missing. There is a serious Gap of Red aircraft. Im really a S.I.T.S. (Stuck In The Seventies). I lean a lot towards cold war “simple” aircraft. I was excited by the Gorgeous Flash of the Flogger. Cant wait. And the Fulcrum looked Macho AF. Hope these Red gaps get filled in 2023.

Otherwise i look forward to a lot of modues, Pacific and especially the Carriers.
The Chet Hook is a preorder for me.
Im in Iraq, i hope my area gets populated. When i was in Qatar, Persian Gulf released. Qatar is there but its blank. Sad…
This was a great video.

it seems the mariana could be expanding to the north

The B-1 would be super cool, but the chances of it becoming flyable in DCS are close to zero I think. Considering that the bomber is an active part of the US strategic nuclear deterrence I would assume that it’s systems are highly classified.

ED can make a B-1 … but the interior will be from a A-10A! The non clickable pit. LoL. Considering the average age of DCS Jets is probably 40 years old… Even the Mudhen is an 80s bird…Yeah, Never Happen… Well, not in our lifetime anyways.
