I am off tomorrow (not planned, just worked out), do we have any speculation about when sales will open? I am hoping at midnight EST, that would give it a solid 10 hours for the server load to drop before I DL it.

Purchase and DL went smoothly, didnāt catch the actual file size as I was making lunch. Had a few minutes to load it up, certainly looks pretty. Got a few more hours of work before I can take her up proper.

In most of the promotional material, ED is writing F-1 instead of F1. That hurts my eyes

Somethingās making me want to buy this even though itāll likely sit in my Hangar Queue for a while. Must have something to do with seeing/heard them fly over my house for the last few months. Itās a plot, I know it.

Alrighty. Gave her a whirl. Now I know why I wait to buy these aircraft modules - the SimShaker dude hasnāt written the code to support it yet. Arg. World of difference with no feel when I move the pole (amongst other feedback goodies).
Managed to land it without ending up in a ball. Adverse yaw seems to be there though Iām faarrrr from an expert on this.
Something off though with the left/right wheel brake axes: one worked but the other didnāt. Seemed fine in the Hornet.
Cockpit is hard to see with a brightness level (via OXR Toolkit) thatās ānormalā for me in the G2 with others.
HUD digits are not legible in VR (reported on the ED forum). The only one Iāve ever had this issue with.
Sounds were, eh, not great. Itās early. Not terrible though. This is purely a WAG on my part as I donāt know what it really sounds like.
As far as moving it around goes - this isnāt a Hornet. Kind of like the F5 & Tomcat - you have to use your feet for one thing.
I know why I bought it now: it looks like the fighter jets I would doodle on the side of my papers during elementary school. All pointy and angular, etc.

I have been up all night. I had to do more than the usual to get this module. All day yesterday i kept hoping it would drop. I had promised my gf dinner at a fancy Thai place. Soon as we got thereā¦ you gussed itā¦ After dinner i dropped her off and tried to patch. I had to get rid of a lot of stuff on my installation before i had enough room. Finally got some shut eye between 11 and 4 am while the patch ran. Installed the F1, then installed some of the previously removed stuffā¦ weird. Oh, so now i got room?!? Weird, most of my stuff went back into the install. Uhmmmmā¦
How is my 500GB M.2 full with only DCS? So i guess now i need a Terra just for DCS? 
At 6:30 i was finally done and headed for work without so much as firing up the manual.
Cant wait to get Home. Back to youtube.

Is the Durandal in the game at launch? I noticed AI can carry it.

Durandal can be equipped on the CE. Havenāt tried it but Iām tempted. Only got one short joyride so far and itās basically a Spitfire with a jet engine. At low altitude I parked her at 310kts, 4G, maxing the AoA indexer doing donuts in the sky without losing energy. Tacview says only 11deg/sec and 3,000ft radius which seems a bit meh on paper but it felt good at the moment haha.
The massive amount of adverse yaw and rudder usage is throwing me off though. It needs more rudder work than any of the WW2 props.

Yesterday i had to take my gal to dinner. Today my friends arrived from Australia for just the weekend. Im in the Uber on what will be a night of drinks and good food. Damn! All i had time to do was a startupā¦ off to the races again. Being an adult is highly overrated.
