Aerofly FS 2

Freeware Turkey Point Nuclear Plant and Marina 1.0.0

Addition for the IPACS Florida DLC by TomSimMuc, ZoSoChile, ussiowa, Rodeo, Kenventions and Jetjockey10

Installation:

In case you installed the IPACS Florida you have to rename one interfering tile C:\Users\Documents\Aerofly FS 2\n …\Aerofly FS 2 Flight Simulator\scenery\places\usa\fl\cultivation\fl_46c0_92c0_01.toc to fl_46c0_92c0_01.off

It is recommended to opt out from the beta channel if not urgently needed. This will prevent a non intended replacement of the suppressed tile.

Unzip the downloaded file and only copy the contained addons folder to C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Aerofly FS 2\ The folder name “Documents” will appear localized to the installed language. This will install the new scenery into the addon folder. Also orthos (ground pictures) and the houses, which have been suppressed by renaming the toc file will be installed.

Set all Graphic Quality Settings to ULTRA (except “shadows” set to your liking)

Just a heads-up for the brave and curious!

From DrHotWing1 (Ipacs)

Greetings fellow flight simmers,

Very have published a new ALPHA build to Steam that we need your help with testing for us.
Please keep in mind that this is an alpha build that could potentially have some issues, so we ask only those that wish to test this build and report any issues that you see in it to THIS THREAD ONLY.
This alpha build is mostly major internal code changes so please don’t expect any new features in it. If you do wish to test this for us you will need to opt into the ALPHA build specifically posted in Steam.

If you do decide to test this please check carefully the following areas;

  • basic checks: all aircraft gear, flaps, controllability
  • starting positions: correct placement for runways, helipads, approaches ?
  • scenery: object placement correct ?
any flying / missing objects ?
  • autopilot / autoflight system
  • aircraft displays
  • flight school
  • view control
  • vr: steam and oculus
  • vr: controller, cockpit interaction
no g effects / view wobble in vr

We thank you for your continued support while we work to improve the future of Aerofly!

I purchased the ORBX TrueEarth Netherlands in the recent ORBX sale. It looks great…very detailed and tons of airports to explore. I will say that the geography is…well…not as inspiring as the Colorado / California scenery. It is appalling flat in the Netherlands…but the coastal scenery is cool. I also haven’t told @Troll that I have his new Rift in the cargo hold here at Amsterdam.

For nostaliga’s sake, I also picked up the Chicago Meigs field scenery…which is superbly gorgeous. It has satellite imagery of the surrounding area, but I was very disappointed to see that there isn’t even a bare bones Chicago Midway or O’Hare included (other than satellite imagery of it) so you really can’t fly anywhere in the local area. Kind of a bummer. I really hope we get an ORBX Pacific Northwest or Alaska for Aerofly 2 (or Papua New Guinea). I really love this sim.

I uninstalled FS2 to recover some drive space and because I feel tugged between a number of excellent sims at the moment, never mind a couple of drive sims whom are most likely feeling abandoned. Regardless, keep this up Beach and you are going to force me to archive some ortho photo scenery or buy another SSD

Great now that you can feather engines on the Baron…and it has legit single engine flight characteristics.
