Miami won!

Who would have thought? Except maybe @piper

Surprised they didn’t use the run game more.

btw, Dolphins have a great winning percentage for home games in September. The humidity in South Florida just kills the other team

Oh cruel world.

I woke up to this:

Oh come on! In the very first game?

The good news is that the defense apparently worked quite well, keeping Brady et al to 19 points, but… man, 3 points on offense sucks.

I’ll watch a summary video later.

College football related, but there were a bunch of upsets over the weekend. Notably, Appalachian State over Texas A&M, Marshall over Notre Dame, and Georgia Southern over Nebraska (oh, how the mighty have fallen). Check out the first segment of this program to see how the city of Boone, NC celebrated.

I totally forgot watching college football on Saturday. I was just too busy.

Guess where College Gameday will be next Saturday? Boone!

I think my brother and sister-in-law are going back for that one-they’re both App State alum, and my brother STILL talks about that Michigan upset.

My nephew is a freshman at Georgia Southern. They are probably still partying :joy:

Wow, reality check during the first game of the year for dem boys…

Yeah, this time it happened early.

Sad to see as a fan, but hey, it will be exciting to see who will be QB for the next few weeks. There are quite some people in free agency that could fit the play style.

Shane Falco is Available.

Haha, yeah why not. If you are having a bad season you might as well have fun doing so.

Right now there are a few options but they will probably go with Cooper Rush. Maybe they will bring back DiNucci but I don’t think so.

I’ve seen rumors about bringing back Andy Dalton (who is backup QB in New Orleans) and even Cam Newton (but I think that would not make things better).

So yeah, whoever comes in I’ll enjoy the ride.
The Cowboys have been not-so-great for quite some time now, fans are used to it.

I would jump on the App State band wagon now, but my alma mater, Canes, travels to College Station Sat night 2100 EDT. We have a new coaching staff, new offense, defense, etc. It’s going to be a tough one regardless. ESPN predictor has the U by a small bit, but that thing is more or less a digital dart board.

In NFL news, here’s how miserable it is to be a Falcons/Panthers fan. Both teams lost by a point last weekend. :sob:

I’m wondering how much longer Rhule is going to be head coach; NOBODY in either Carolina is happy with the job he’s been doing.

But then, the same can be said for David Tepper.

Meanwhile, in Boone:

Ok I think you have to explain that one to me.
Edit: I get that those are the two letters missing in the word, but is there more to it?

Today on German TV:
Georgia @ South Carolina, and it is looking like it could become a 50 burger.

Today on German TV:

Bucs @ Saints (wow, what a defensive game!)
and Cowboys vs. Bengals

Good news for the Dallas haters: when German TV broadcasts the Cowboys then they usually lose.

As everyone hates the Cowboys I’ll now talk about another favorite team of mine:

Dolphins WIN! :dolphin:

Panthers fans have stopped calling for Matt Rhule to be fired, and are just starting to call for his head.

Meanwhile I’m becoming more and more convinced that our new owner wants the team to continue tanking- and not just for draft picks.
