Yep that game went really good for the 49ers.
Offense, defense, and special teams all did a good job.
Way to go Titans!
Love a power running game
I thought Wentz was a concussion thing…mandatory to come off the field.
This article is pretty good…basically saying Wentz did the right thing by self reporting he was concussed…
It may prompt some bad comments but I think that is a good example if the sport is supposed to move into a direction that is healthier for all athletes.
Agree 100%.
I would add, what does its about Clowney? OK, the same impact does not necessarily mean bot players have concussions but, why wasn’t he automatically checked? Inquiring minds want to know.
(For those living “over the pond”, “dow under” or in other exotic places, as well as those born in the USofA but after the Baby Boomer and Gen X ages, the line “Inquiring minds want to know.” is from a series of TV advertisements for The National Inquirer, a famous (or infamous…dare I say notorious) tabloid news paper, most often sold at supermarket checkout lanes.)
He was probably asked and video-checked for symptoms as well.
But often the “attacker” in such a collision has it a bit easier as he can use the right angle for his headbutt and thus feel less of the impact.
For example if you hit with your forehead but against the opponent’s temple it is likely that you will just walk away and he will be unconscious. Especially if he didn’t see you coming.
You are most likely correct. And from watching the replays of the hit, despite the fact that I strongly dislike Clowney as a player, it did not look deliberate.
It looks pretty bad in slow motion, but if you look at it in real time I think he wasn’t intentionally hitting him.
The angle is almost worst case though. He hit him in the back of the head and then Wentz’ forehead hit the ground hard.
As a medical staff member I would probably have taken Wentz out of the game even if he had sworn on Saint Nick that he feels great.
Oh dear… the Texans are rolling over the Chiefs right now!
21-0 in the first quarter!
(Sure, all three TDs were individual errors/achievements. One dropped punt, one blocked punt, one defense screwup. Still impressive.)
Edit: what the hell… the Chiefs have more dropped balls than completions.
Andy Reid up to his normal playoff antics
This game is crazy already and we’re not even halfway through the 2nd quarter
It is amazing!
The Chiefs could even lead at halftime despite a 24 points deficit just 5 minutes earlier!
Absurd game.
1st quarter: 24-0
3rd quarter: 24-41
That was a nice game.
A bit sad that I can’t watch Green Bay vs. Seattle, but I have to work tomorrow…
It is pretty fun watching Mahomes - he sure seems to have fun out there. Glad to see former Eagles coach Reid having some success so far. I’d love to see him get a ring…
I watched it for you @Aginor
A good game. Except at the beginning of the second half, GB was able to stifle Seattle’s offense while converting a lot of 3rd and long.
I took some measure of satisfaction in the way Clooney’s penalties did more to hurt Seattle than his play helped…I believe you call that Schadenfreude.
As an Eagles fan…I was…satisfied…
Do you realize that Ryan Tannehill (who was released by the Dolphins earlier this year) is possibly 60mins away from playing in the SuperBowl - which is in Miami this year?
Kharma does have a sense of humour at times.
