How does the internet radio thing work? I can’t find it in the manual.

On the checklist/cargo popup panel, go to the file tab. I believe it’s labeled radio under there.

Yep, exactly as @jenrick says it’s in the left control c menu load thing … the standard music player is there as well, but not sure what type of music files it can take

There is a flaps and trim display gauges in the middle bottom of the front dashboard

How are your landings? I find mine degenerate into stunt landings all the time, especially when I try to engage the nose wheel steering… This is just a sample at Sembach. Any advice?

Can’t say that I have had any issues so far. Even with a light crosswind and lots of turbulence.

My advice: Don’t use the tiller above 25kn and always be very gentle with it.

The nose wheel can be a bit touchy on landings, I have bound it to my thumb stick and messed with the saturation to try and de sensitise it a bit

I set it to modifier+rudder pedals. That works really well.

My first landing ended with me in the grass. I hit the centerline but ended up dipping the right wing then skidding off to the side. Not sure what happened but I’ll be doing some pattern work.

So well… I asked about the MOAB in the forums and found it to be extremely pleasant that a dev told me how to program the MOAB. Yay to ASC!

All programmed in! The CARP and the Weapons page. Bonus tip: the MOAB PI field shows coords but will take any coordinate information (i.e. waypoint name) so you can easily drop it somewhere in your route.

Route looks all good.

On the way… By the way, did you know that if you put your map cursor over anything on the map, you get a cross over this point on the HUD as well? So that one is pointing at the target area right now. Pretty handy. Only learned about this myself today.

Does anyone have any dire reason to keep their eardrums intact? What was that? I can’t hear you…

Approaching the DZ…

A new MOAB has been brought into the world. Its reign of terror will last only a short bit.

So… some observations… It guides! Great! But that body, wings and control surface is not providing as much lift as I was maybe expecting. This thing is pulling a ton of alpha right now and probably won’t make it to the center of that landmass bridge right there. Next time, I won’t have the CARP point right above the target but a bit beforehand. I already elected to drop from 20 000ft but maybe even more is better because the weapon needs a lot of time (several thousands of feet worth of altitude) before it is set up and starts to guide.

He’s gonna get slam-dunked by 22000lbs of bomb…

I’ll try again when I have more free time some time this week  I love my 4-engined bomber already

It would be cool if trees would be removed by explosions- I’m pretty sure the crater would be impressive.

With a 22k lbs bomb, it’s more like “To the grid square” more than, “towhom it may concern”.
You can miss by an whole Postcode and still kill your target.

A buddy dropped it on a suburb of Hamburg just messing about and it looked like the start to Operation Gomorrha, Bonus points because it was actually night in the mission when he did it :joy:

Wait, can you create a mission with a bunch of MOAB spawning armed in mid air?

we so need proper scenery destruction

No, not AFAIK. you can’t spawn weapons directly. You can air-spawn in cargo, though. This is a special option that has to be set in the mission editor. So you could drop these puppies over and over if you can deal with the non-realism.

I’d love this. And also for the RN-24/28. And proper effects for those types of weapons. I would also love for those weapons to be available to other platforms (i.e. B61). I know they are terrible (all war is terrible in some form or another) but nuke delivery is interesting. Anyway I’m going off-topic.

The Official template for the C-130 has been released.

Chuffed with that drop. There should have been five crates with the first one landing next to that pyramid but in replay tracks 1 crate always fails to load into the cargo bay.

Does anyone fancy doing some multiplayer experimentation with the herc and chinook at the weekend… perhaps trying to drive a humvee in to a herc and taking off
