Also I am a bit sad about the cars list.
It is short, and none of my favorite cars is in there.

Edit: OK, the Delta is nice. But group A/B cars are not for me.

Tbh I always found it too twitchy in Dirt Rally 1+2 and EA WRC. I am just not that good with that car. 
I could handle other Group A/B cars (such as the equally famous Audi Quattro) a bit better.
Edit: LOL I even misread my own post: I mixed up the Delta HF with the Delta S4 (which I sucked even more in).

This is really great news! Overtake interview with the developer. The car details are amazing. Sadly no VR support with initial release.

Arrrrggggh! Another racer that I do not need but will likely buy. I think I might have an addiction.

I remember the times when I didn’t suck that much in rally games after I bought a wheel and stuff (and our Mudspike Covid rally league!) so fondly that I just have to buy a new rally game. The more realistic the better.
Even though I will suck even more.

That’s strange No VR??…I would think that this is the same engine being used in EVO?? And that runs in VR just fine on my set up….interesting 
The ACR developer said that they have VR running, but are not happy with the results yet.

I dont know … AC runs 90fps at my end on pancake . really dont know if I want racing sim that will run worse .
with legacy hw I guess I am stuck with legacy sw , DR2 it is .
any word about multi-threading !? … I wish

I am the last person in the world to attest to it’s simmyness, or handling, or anything like that (I have no racing sim gear, and in real life drive like a extremely cautious grandma), but I do have a secret penchant for rally games and it’s really fun, and looks really, really good!
For sure the best looking rally game I’ve ever played, maybe the best looking racing game over all (at least that I’ve played on the PC).
Price is right too -

The early reviews are pretty good, especially with regards to the physics modeling and graphics. So against my better judgement and knowing that without VR I wont drive it much until that arrives, I’m going to support the devs and add it to my Steam library.

50GB recommended disc space but ‘only’ a 15GB early access download, so a ton of content to come.
Even though I haven’t taken it for a drive yet, just looking at the cars we have so far and opening and closing doors, bonnets/engine covers, etc it looks really good. Even with the ‘default’ settings at 1080p on my 5 year old PC.
Just gotta get this year’s Xmas flight done and then I will be setting up the wheel and pedals.
