Watching the video as I type. That photoreal stage is ![]()
The honeymoon is not only over, the credit card bills are filling the mailbox ![]()
I completely agree with his FFB assessment. There is something definitely off with the wheel at center.
I admit that I haven’t watched that particular video, but the overall reaction to ACR still seems to be pretty positive. It is VERY early in the early access and this game has huge potential.
I am active on the Discord for example. Lots of helpful (and still excited!) people there, even among those who can barely play at all (like myself).
I wasn’t really able to make an opinion until I began driving the tarmac stages, and compared it to what I was feeling in LMU and AMS2 on rough tracks, like Sebring. If you drive LMU at Sebring, then ACR on a tamac stage, you’ll see what I mean. Others had commented on the Fanatec forum. In the center, the feeling is very vague. almost the reverse of what it should be. Perhaps it can be tuned out in the wheel settings. But, I’ve began hearing from a few YT channels about it. No doubt, we shouldn’t hold an early access sim to those which have had years to sort out.
I haven’t watched the video, but is it just Fanatec or Moza and other ‘high end’ FFB wheels as well?
I willing to bet I won’t even notice with my G27
just about sums it up throughout the whole range of motion ![]()
Unsure, but I doubt that it is manufacturer specific. I first read about it on the Fanatec forum, but then other sources were discussing similar findings. I think that Kunos will sort it out though, given what they’ve done with AC, and more recently, ACC - the forgotten sim. It used to be horrible, but pretty good now.
Yeah it is with all wheels, my Fanatec doesn’t feel right in the center either. Though don’t take it that Niels doesn’t like ACR, he has been playing and talking about it all week on Discord, these video’s are more a response out of passion then hate.
Just in time for Christmas.
Raced that game today for the first time in almost a year, and I am happy to report that it runs fine with everything on ultra and my wheel is now fully working as well, it seems. Haven’t tried my shifter yet but will soon.
Feels good. ![]()
Nice, been enjoying it quite a lot as well over the past year, runs excellent on the Steamdeck too.
Ok, shifter works fine as well.
I just suck at driving. And after an hour I get a tad nauseous.
Still waiting on native VR support.
