BMS 4.34 teaser

That is good!
I did something similar with the Falcon Collection on GOG.COM!
Falcon Collection on GOG.com

Mostly I still have the fondest memories of Falcon 3.0 and at that price I couldn’t miss it.

As for the BMS download, you have to create a free account on BMS forums and from there you get to “hidden” forums pages with the download link.
Sounds like a “SnakeEye” but it’s a “Slick”.

(translated: sounds like a drag but it’s a fast process…)

Falcon BMS is my only flight sim now seeing as DCS will no longer run due whatever things they did with the engine, just after I bought the Hornet too

Anyway, BMS is still sooooo good. I need to retrain though as I’ve forgotten what I knew and now there’s a lot of new too.

Since it’s my fault here’s the link (no torrenting required):

I’d be happy to help troubleshoot your DCS @Mace. It would be sad to write it off just like that.

Thanks @schurem but it’s not DCS’ fault. My PC is way under powered but was running it until recently :frowning:

Everything on low I can fly with just me on the map but any AI and it’s a slide show unfortunately.

Well. First few hours with bms. Got to be honest I wasnt expecting much. Took me a while to download an alternative launcher and mess around setting my basic flight controls up. Flew around for a bit and got to play in the viper after a few stumbles. Started getting a little bit irritated by the hurdle jumping to get it functioning with my pedals and hotas.

I know I’m extremely late to the party here. You’ve all most likely been and done it and forgotten about it but all I can say is WOW.

I am totally utterly and completely blown away by this… it is incredible what this team have pulled off. It’s a miracle. In all seriousness I could actually see me not using dcs for a while. Even the technical documents they have amassed are a stunning piece of work. Wont bore you all with stuff you’ve all done years ago but honestly if anyone has never given it a try i cannot recommend it enough. I love the look and the feel of it and the campaign looks amazing. I keep sitting here shaking my head at how incredible this 20 yr old game looks now.

The frame rates I’m getting are as smooth as butter it makes dcs look horrendous by comparison (my old pc is getting a bit tired now this isn’t dcs fault to be fair) but this runs like it’s on rails. Fantastic. See you in the spring guys. :joy:

Yeah, if they ever hack in a way to experience it in VR I might very well fly little else. That campaign…

And I have good memories of the Falcon 4 soundscape.
The way the plane tells you your airspeed via your ears. All the talk on the radio.

I envy you rediscovering all that mate

I also got a lovely track Ir kit off a good mate a while back which after I’ve figured out the basics of the sim a bit will come in EXTREMELY useful giphy%20(1)
