Depends on how such a society defines the worth of the individual. It could range from “mostly starve but a select few” to “what you think is best/makes you happy”.

Now I wonder who will win the battle for that technology. Will it be an MS Matrix, Apple Matrix, or the dark horse Linux Matrix? Personally, I’m hoping for either the Steam Matrix or PornHub Matrix. Hmmm…where to invest my money… :thinking:

You know…I see these (carefully staged) robot videos and I think, “How cool is that! We should get more of them!”

…and then my AI wingman dies because he ran to of gas because he was too dumb to divert, or flew into a AAA zone that I had clearly told him not to go there and I think, “Yeah…maybe not so much.” :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Then again, I don’t think the best and the brightest at MIT are making game AI…? I could be wrong, of course. And if they did, it would probably require a neural network computer to run it… :slight_smile:
