TBH I am not surprised in the slightest. Dude’s been on borrowed time ever since he aborted his Moscow thunder run. I wouldn’t have guessed getting shot down by a SAM but I guess getting him alongside other Wagner leaders (if the rumours are true that is) was a bonus.

Interesting to see how this pans out… Hard to say what intel is valid or not. If his name was on the manifest, the probability that the aircraft just up and crashed is pretty low, me thinks. But was he onboard? There were pics of him, supposedly in Africa, just the other day. Who whacked him? Somebody knows…

What happened was he was going to fall out the window of the plane, but when the door tried to open instead of him being able to fall out the wing broke off. 
If I was living in Russia right now, I would start a steel railing business and market exclusively to people who annoy Putin.

I started reading news that his body has been recovered from the wreckage, putting - allegedly - and end to the rumore he was on his second plane.

I read that as well but coming from either Wagner or RU I’d sooner believe that elvis and lord Lucan were on that plane.
I doubt we will ever know the truth. Its awful being forced to read propaganda from both sides and never knowing what to believe. I just settle on it all being bollocks.

IR pundit Peter Zeihan had an interesting take on Prigoshin’s death. TLDR, there were so many that wanted him dead, that we might be waiting a very long time to learn how the Wagner chief came to an untimely end. Granted, Times Radio often seems to operate as a click-bait outlet, but they had a good interview with Ukrainian MP Kira Rudik who makes a strong case for Putin wanting a very public execution to show Russia and the world who’s still boss.
