Also something worth considering is removing old thermal compound and maybe even delidding the CPU. I delidded my 8700K and it was suprisingly easy to do…

Preparations… [image] What could possibly go wrong…? [image] The actual delid process was somewhat un-exiting. [image] Cleaned and ready! [image] Liquid metal applied… [image] Heatresistant silicon applied to the IHS and back in the tool to cure. [image] Now, off to the movies while I wait.
