Went to Lowes with my wife when she was on a job assignment with Coke and was really impressed with the facilities. All first class. But the race was rather boring.

Better to go to Charlotte for the Shootout night racing series (is that still a thing?) than the Coca-Cola 600.

Talladega holds the lasting memory. that pre-restrictor plate racing was absolutely insane. But I understand why they had to slow the cars down.

…and this is the part of the rant where I talk about how needlessly heavy and aerodynamically inefficient the cars are forced to be, etc etc.
