W O W!!
That is a lot of goodness right there !
Wheels
The notice is appreciated!
This is a good step, put some weight and rationale to the decision in public view. This patch could turn out ugly, but weāve started with transparency, which is always good.
Thatās far from several, so I hope the wording is wrong in quantity and we arenāt waiting to find mysteries!
ā¦who dominate the changelog! Prior issues aside, thatās a solid punch to the bug list. Hope they keep it coming.
But they are serious few items that if not declared up front people will question QA Methods.
This build is released on a O.B. Branch, and is released to mainly test all of the fixes and features of the Partner Aircraft and -16/-18 modules. Aim-9 issues will be fixed then if no major issues are found, new features may move to stable branch.
Man that plane is legendaryā¦
Naval aviation of that era is. I read a piece on the C-2 CODplanes and that was⦠If I were to write a book for boys age ten and up, Iād crib liberally from that.
For the Hornet Pilots - Info on AGR & Markpoints.
From ED forums it also seems markpoints cannot be cycled with SEQ active on the HSI.

Two new Thunderbolts! YaaaaaY!
So I took a couple little test flights. Yes the G tolerance is improved. Thatās much better in a dogfight. Heās no superman tho!
I managed to do HARM and murder a whole bunch of tanks on my first try with them. I love how finicky HARM is on the viper. Very much not point & shoot. 90s search is not really feasible but center search and the targets preselected from the list made it quite handy. Still, that 10s of straight flight into an active, angry SAM site is fun!
Mavās are fun too. Perhaps the vipersā implementation of them is about the most user friendly one I have seen so far (comparing hog-C and harrier). Pretty much point & shoot.
I managed to damage the wing on my viper on taxiing (too tight a turn at too much groundspeed and it tips right the duck over lol) and on my sixth turn-in on the tank target zone, it came off. Might this have been a progressive damage model? sweet!
On the viper, sidewinders work just fine sir, thank you very much. Havenāt tried the hornet. I mean, if I want to fly navy, I do it in style, even more so now that I can remove that little hood ornament
My old trick to remove lens flares no longer works. It throws an error on start Even so, I landed the balalaika on the first try. Itās been well over a week since I last got to boot up DCS!
I am! A lot of those bugs have been in the harrier for years and a great frustration for many of us! Glad to see them fixed, shame that it took ED giving them a kick in the but to get it done. Makes you wonder if they could have fixed this ages agoā¦
So would you say the harrier is done now?
Itās definitely getting closer to done for me! I never really kept up with the planned feature list so I donāt know how close or far away from that it is.
Let me rephrase. You are current on the harrier, are you not? If so, is it usable now? Are there still things holding it back from being tactically significant? Are there still glaring bugs?
thereās a whole list of bugs that have frustrated me for a long time being eliminated in this update so thatās positive! I do need to confirm that they are actually gone, because DCS being DCS you can never really be sure
If so, then yes I would consider it very usable!
Better late than never!
Heh, I just coined EDās slogan for 2020.
That seems to be much too long a list to have been a direct consequence to the community reaction. Donāt get me wrong; I am glad to see it, and it was much needed.
Which one?
