DCS 2.5.x Screenshots (2019)

It’s funny how we all complain but never meet online. :grinning:

Makes sense and I didn’t mean to imply that folks were not giving it a whirl. Maybe some posts in the discord by the folks across the pond as to when they intend to be on the server will bring out other folks in similar time zones?

How could we make some sort of “availability scheduling”?
Like… everyone declaring stuff like… Hey I’m Komemiute and I’m in European Timezone GMT +2…
I’ll be hanging around every night from 21:45AM till 00:00…

If someone wanted to host a Euro server, all the missions are free to download & I can share the config files as well.

What if on MudSpike discord we make roles for time zones, then you can just do an “@ Euro CET” for example to ping everyone that may be online in that TZ?

Edit: maybe more vague than time zones.
Ie, North America East & West (central users could opt in to one, the other, or both).

That’s a great idea, but i think we are straying OT. Maybe we should put this discussion here.

Flying formation with @AndyE after running CAS with @Wes. We ran out for DEAD after this, taking out a couple SA-11s but ran out of HARMs for suppression. I got clipped by an SA-11 and Andy got hit by a Flanker. Bummer! On the other hand, all up we got 12 enemy aircraft shot down, took back Gali, and destroyed a number of ground vehicles.

So myself and @Franze were testing some of the issues with the latest patch when this happened.

Trigger Warning: The Following post contains a ridiculous number of screenshots of the exact same moment of the same engagement, from many angles.

How to attack a Tarantul III class missile corvette doing 30 knots with a Cold War era Harrier (no guided weapons)? With Rockeyes of course

I brought along some Zunis to finish him off, but these weren’t even needed.

Couple of screens from last nights flight with @Franze and @Wes.

Franze and I headed back to Gudauta.

Wes and I waiting for Franze to rearm.

Lining up with Wes.

Headed out for what would prove to be a fatal encounter for Franze and I vs a Sa-11 and some Su-27’s.

Did some practicing with @whareagle over on Hollo Pointe today  Getting Whareagle a bit up to speed in the F-16.

Whareagle getting his plane up and running.

Yours truly one hangar further.

Heading out looking for some trouble.

Lined up and ready to go.

2 second seperation in the take-off.

Rotate!

Whareagle himself and the nosewheel of his jet had a slight disagreement on where the jet should depart the runway  But everything was fine in the end.

Happily on patrol as we went over the technicalities on Discord, and a chance to get some formation hours in.

on our way back home.

on the downwind.

and touched down. Whareagle was starting a new jet as he had an unfortunate disconnect. Unfortunately for me this where the track goes awry with me taxiing through the grass and exploding. But we did end our session with some quick practice CCIP drops and strafing passes.

No water on Nevada map for carrier operations? DCS be all “ships must be placed on water!” even though you’re trying to put a boat in a puddle? Then head on into the static objects library and grab you a static ship! Place it wherever you want it, no ifs or buts!
