I pop to stage 3 and start pulling up at about 290kmh. Never had any problems that way.
To be fair I only assumed it was an oversped gear. It could of been any number of mistakes on that takeoff lol
True, it could’ve been an Automatisk Fart Kontroll failure.
I’ve definitely experienced that…possibly not in a viggen
Never gets old!
The Norwegian Rally champion, Peter Solberg is supposed to have said: ”It’s not the fart (speed) that kills you, it’s the smell (crash)” ![]()
I doubt the gear was oversped (sp?). The gear speed is 600 km/h… Maybe some sideloads during the takeoff roll damaged it? ![]()
Really really nice.
got some bombing practise in with @Scoop tonight, I am really struggling to get the mavericks and laser guided munitions to function properly with the hornet.
i can get single hits with JDAMs but replication is a problem, back to the manual i think.
Scoop got his first proper kill of a BMP tonight which was awesome.
I killed quite a few T72’s as well with MK83s which was satisfying!!
here he his after blowing out his tyres (through no fault of his own that i could see) and making sure that the Stennis needs a resupply of Rockeyes urgently ![]()
This was a little worrying as well when i was sat on the cat… is he gonna stop?? is he?
he did…but it was close.
The fault lay inside the cockpit, the anti-skid switch was not enabled before landing and using a heavy brake application. When working on the boat, anti-skid is turned off - so it would be off by default for you. Not a big worry, I forget it all the time still too. As soon as your landing goes squirrelly, ease off the brakes and straighten out. Turn the anti-skid on, and then you can lead-foot those toe brakes!
Though this is generally inadvisable. Choose a jet with thrust reverse capability instead.
Note, we’re definitely not pressuring anyone to any certain plane - any DCS attack jet with thrust reverse capability is just fine ![]()
But, ah, choose wisely, eh? Especially this month. Saab has a far reaching mafia – wouldn’t want to lose any kneecaps.
That’s a fine warship you got…would be a shame if something…ah…happened to it.
Piper in a Viper!
Hyperviperpiper!
And if it was a long ferry flight, a viper piper in a diaper!
Hyperviperdiaperpiper pops the hood, drops his load: shack! Hyperviperdiapersniper is piper!
Note to self: time to change name from piper to orange
