DCS 2.5.x Screenshots (2020)

I haven’t yet - I will! I liked the boat-sinking rocketry in your previous Hip mission!

Sounds like a good challenge. The oil war campaign is good nav, heavy load and landing practice so far but I’ve just about forgotten how to use the weapons panels already…!

Playing around with my WIP Generic RDAF skin for DCS

There are some mistakes to touch up but it is going the right way.

Just used the free month to give the F-5 a spin.
Nice aircraft, easy to startup and fly. Slower than I expected though. But also easy to land.

Thanks ED for letting us try out all that stuff for free! Might actually buy that one despite not being interested previously.

The generic RDAF was not as impressive as the RDAF itself, the pilots being rather ordinary with no outstanding efforts. They were there, but forgettable

This why the generic RDAF is mostly left out of the history books and the regular RDAF gets all the notoriety.

And yet another sortie tonight with my current favorite DCS module. I had built a mission a bit back and it is random in terms of what and how many we run up against. Some screenshots of posing this beauty. I also took video of the great fights I had in this particular mission. Am thinking of making a little video of those fights.

This aircraft is an interesting little aircraft to try and fight with.

Are you talking about WWII? The Royal Danish Airforce was constituted in 1950.
Before this it was the Royal Danish Army Air Wing and the Navy Air Wing.
Any Spit with Danish markings would have to be after WWII as the Danish pilots were organized in the RAF, together with Norwegian pilots, during the war.

I think he’s actually joking about the term “generic” as in, generic medications and such.
I found it funny.

Ok.
I wasn’t sure what to make of it…?
Irony and humor doesn’t always translate well. And without emoticons humor can be interpreted as down right insulting. :flushed:
But that would be quite out of character for @JediMaster, so I’ll go along with your judgement here

Yes, the store-branded versions of drinks and trash bags and plastic forks and such are usually serviceable but unremarkable.

“This orange juice is great, what brand is it?”
“Wal-mart!” Said no one ever.

We actually have a literal “No Name” brand up here. Some of the products are superior, some are…not.

They have a decent sense of humor though!

If there’s one thing the Oilrig campaign teaches you, it is to respect your cargo…no tomfoolery with a laden bird.

Loading up a generator:

Unloading at the oil rig, before picking up something even heavier:

Uh oh:

“Don’t stuff this…don’t stuff this…don’t stuff this”

Successful delivery! Gosh this bird feels light! Freedooom!!

New WWII scenario for DCS: Pegasus Gamble

Checking it out with @Wes and @AndyE, all of us in P-51s because no P-47 and no RP-3 for Spitfire.

Definitely got to start that Oil Campaign for the Hip. It looks like loads of fun.

I am really enjoying it - I think I bought it on one of the sales for $4.99 - definitely good value for that price!

Some of the action zones can require a bit of flying around but generally pretty good so far.
