Any performance hit?
Nothing major that I can see yet. I did notice a few minor stutters here and there. The reflections seem to be causing a lot of shimmering now.
On to VR next to see how things look there…

Time to dive back down the rabbit hole of config settings, it looks like… Fortunately (?) I’m not allowed anywhere near the computer today.
New feature in the options called “SSLR” improves the glow of night lights on the aircraft and cockpit. Very cool! Also the afterburner on the Viper looks insane now.
How’s the Night Vision / NVG’s with the new lighting? Thinking that the AV-8B Night Attack might now go out after dark…

I just found that the new SSLR option kills VR performance so make sure to leave that off when flying in VR.
So honestly I couldn’t remember how the NVG’s looked since I hadn’t tried them in a while. I tried in both AV-8B and the Hornet and after adjusting the gain down I could clearly see everything outside of the aircraft.
So in your first set of pics, there are two screenshots of a C-5. Is this a new AI aircraft? If so, any other new AI aircraft been added?
The C-5 is included in the Military Aircraft Mod. Available for download on the DCS forums.
