I thought this was a very good video. The visual sequences and the music really capture IMHO the feeling of having fun in DCS.

Absolutely not. I myself have been having a blast the last few days flying the Yak-52. Thoroughly enjoying it. I thought it was pretty neat watching these people having fun just flying around in formation, conducting aerobatic maneuvers. It just shows you the potential of DCS to grow with the inclusion of additional flight sim communities. Not just the combat crowd. ED should pursue that market IMHO.

I was thinking adding flyable tankers would be a good step to bringing in the commercial aviation flyers as it would be as close to flying a commercial jet while still participating in the combat aspect of things.
When I flew FSX, there was one guy who swore by flying the large airliners - but maybe a large transport or tanker could have coaxed him to the combat side.

Interesting you mention this because I was actually thinking along the same lines. Tankers with ability to man pilots’s position and the person who controls the fuel boom. I bet people would go for that, I know I would. Also, was thinking smaller cargo planes as modules like C-130 or An-26B etc. I think those would actually sell to people interested in DCS but maybe not interested in the combat aspect.
Need better airport ATC and ground traffic control though in order to hook that aspect in I think. Still, DCS is moving forward and that is a good thing.
If a flyable A-6E is ever a thing, we’ll be able to play with the concept using a buddy tank on it. Would only work for probe and drogue, but it’d be a start.
