Love that F4 intro music!

Yeah, Falcon 4 music score is still one of my favorite scores from any game. I got that warm and fuzzy feeling whenever I hear it.

That voice line at the end; “looks like the start of a very busy day” sure did bring back some memories.

Sounds a bit cornier today, than it did 2 decades ago though…

Nice work. Gotta hand it to ED. The sights and sounds are so good, and combined with your talent, it takes me back to lunch breaks decades ago, at the end of the active runway. Just taking it all in. These simple, observing from the ground (airshow perspective?), clips are my favorites; just the aircraft and the sounds.

I may actually get a real internet connect soon and upload my own. Tried it with a couple on my channel but right now it just takes too long to upload.

That’s a really nice and relaxing video, @Clutch!
I could watch Spitfires fly around all day…
Come to think of it, maybe someone could write an AI script with a couple of Spits, flying around on the channel map, switching views randomly as they takeoff and land, swoop by the countryside, tumble about in the clouds, etc.
That would make the best relaxation video ever!

So there I was, lining up shots on a Ju-88 when he fills my engine and starboard wing full of holes. Prop pitch messed up, manifold pressure not going above atmospheric pressure, coolant gone for all I know, and I’m smoking like a cigar. I climb for altitude and try to get back home to RAF Hawkinge. I make it back, very high on downwind, when my engine decides it’s had enough and it quits. I’m way too high for a smooth glide in, so I bunt the nose down, pop the flaps and try to maintain a somewhat sane 140mph, flare, and skid across the field with the fence at the end growing large. And fast. My plane grinds to a halt. In the background I have Spotify playing, and at that moment the chorus of Pearl Jam’s “Alive” wafts over my ears. “Oh, I, oh I’m still alive.”

I was shouting ‘sideslip, sideslip, sideslip’!

Well done.

those ai gunners on the 88s are a bit effective … to say the least …

I have tried gunning things with a sidemounted machinegun, and even when the platform I was on was not wildly gyrating (IE flown by @komemiute and not @Victork2 or me) I could only spray bullets in the general direction of the target. And that was at a co-altitude, more or less co-speed short range target.

I’m calling bo’sheed on those laser guided terminator robot gunners Il2, DCS and all the other titles have served up over the years. It’s almost as bad as the SPAAG that’s classified as an IFV, the BMP-3.
