Liberation is too much fun.
Turkey shoot while CAP’ing off the coast of Manston. 190s eat 20mm for breakfast, but I smacked one hard enough to blow his gear down before my wingman set him alight.
This one is good. I was escorting some B-17s that decided to bomb at 3,000ft…no idea why. After they took out the defenses, I swooped in a strafed the lone remaining truck. Turns out I wasted a lot of 303 doing that, because later I went looking for a brawl. My wingman was chasing a smoking 190 with another hot on his tail, so I rolled in from above as the 190 went up to meet me in a vertical scissors. I planted one of my last 20mm rounds somewhere in his engine. and couldn’t fight any more. Top tank empty, bottom tank at half, we bugged out. I landed at RAF Hawkinge with one gallon of gas left. I think I’ll be taking the slipper tank from now on…

I fell over this ralfidude video showcasing the first mission in the upcoming Zone 5 campaign from Reflected Simulations.
It is a Topgunesque campaign created in cooperation with Dave ’Bio’ Baranek, former Tomcat RIO, Topgun instructor and CO of VF-211 from 1997 to 1998 and also author of TOPGUN DAYS, BEFORE TOPGUN DAYS and TOMCAT RIO.

It is Bio doing the Arial briefing in both videos.
I may not have the skills to do it justice but I will get the campaign.
Dave ’Bio’ Baranek took part in the creation and filming of TOPGUN and writes about it in some of TOPGUN DAYS.
I found out about Bio in the following interview by C. W. ”Mover” Lemoine and it just felt so great that I stopped the video halfway through and ordered all 3 books before continuing.
I can highly recommend all 3 books if you are into the F-14 and especially TOPGUN DAYS if you are into the TOPGUN movie.

Nice. Someday we might actually get all that (flyable), and a “Jungle By The Sea” map. Dude did a good job there. Opening with “Run Through The Jungle” helped. Man, I wore out a few of those 8-tracks - usually the player ate them

Funny that most of those aircraft are from mods. Shameful we dont have more aircraft from that era.
