DCS 2.7 Discussion

Off the wall question… are those Nav modules worth having? Been a casual DCS flyer, mostly FC and the helo’s, but have every plane module… so with a new PC coming next month, thinking it’s time to really get into the series and start learning all those jets… the Nav’s needed? Thx.

It is by no means a necessity unless you want to do GPS navigation in one of the less fancy birds. There’s usually an alternative available such as doppler nav for the Mi-8, INS nav for the SA-342 and radio nav for the L-39. I had a few fun flights flying the L-39 with the hood down using exclusively the GPS, radio navigation and the instruments but I don’t do this often. It is more a case of want it rather than need it.

I got the one for the MI8 and never use it. I have used the GPS a lot more in xo11 and MSFS. Get it if it’s on sale and your prepared to put the time on to learn its uses then go for it :relaxed:

Known issues:

  • Engines are not starting up for Operator at Cold start if operator joined before engines start.
  • If Operator in cockpit and rearming of ATGMs is done then Operator losing launch authorization tone.
  • To avoid these issues second player as Operator should join Mi-24P after its engines are running and weapons are rearmed.

DCS AV-8B N/A by RAZBAM Simulations

  • Fixed: Flare Salvo release is too fast.
  • Fixed: TPOD Laser safes itself when slewing with the TDC.
  • Fixed: TPOD Laser keeps firing indefinitely. Now it safes itself after 2 minutes.
  • Fixed: TOO target cannot be selected for JDAM.
  • Fixed: JPT Limiter not operating correctly in some cases.
  • Fixed: MFS fuel flow metering not being limited correctly in some cases.
  • Fixed: KC-130 crew are visible when not used or as static AI.

  • Stall test is now synchronized in multicrew.
  • Mirror position is now synchronized in multicrew.
  • Fuel used digital counter reset is correctly initialized when entering the second seat, and is not synchronized with the forward seat counter anymore.

Of course I am in the kitchen till ten tonight, happily I set the download away before I left, I looked at the size and it seems it was only 2200 mb

You need to first update and then download the map as freeware DLC.

Thanks to all that water and small islands, it’s 1/2 the size of the Black Sea terrain. That’s helpful for my drive space. :slight_smile:
