Wags has released a bunch of videos in the last week. That usually means the update is coming today.

I’m happy if they are coming next week. They promised a more substantial VIper update, and the more time it takes, the more features we can expect (other than the JSOW, which is already pretty awesome).

There is also the possibility it comes tomorrow or friday (although I think that to be less likely).

Nice. Was commenting to @chipwich the other day that, after this one, we’ll have all of the major platforms we need for that “Tropical Jungle By the Sea” map…we don’t have…for one side. And only one, free one, for the other (the F-5 counts yes, but , well, not as much )

I get this feeling ED is slowly moving in that direction of a Vietnam map with AI assets packs. I was thinking the other night the Marianas may be a testing ground map for what they want to do with Vietnam. At least I’m hoping that may be the case.

Yep, @komemiute. That’s the next big thing I’m waiting for in DCS. I’m hoping that Heatblur will sort out the BN similar to Jester in that a human pilot can slide back and forth as needed.

A Bearcat would be cool (I know you mean the F-8, but seriously, I’d like an F8F). I also heard Nick REALLY likes the Hellcat

I did mean the crusader but you are correct. The Bearcat would be the only WW2 plane I would consider pre ordering.

I agree the phantom is definitely the most important missing aircraft for the sim. But personally I’d rather have other planes
