DCS 2.7.X Screenshots (2021)

Revisiting Liberation. Wish I could get more shots without the tracks desyncing. What’s interesting is that on server track files, the enemy AI recalculate and perform different maneuvers while your AI wingman does not…and sprays lead into empty sky. In client tracks everything is okay until the Spit’s flight model has a seizure.

Yea they really need it to be TacView style, recording location/event/flight data rather than recording the basic setup and having the track be a re-running of the simulation where random values end up different and you get the whole “change the past, destroy the present” time paradox type mess.

right here: Century Series #1

I dont remember if I’ve updated the file since the last time ED tweaked the bort numbers so there might be some issue with it.

Here’s an updated description.lua if they’re all messed up: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ffi_SciK75jmN4wqTKgelFdqrqWlIniB/view?usp=sharing

more stuff for the civilian assets pack

The SpaceX Falcon on the landing pad is really neat!

Those assets are still even suited for a mission scenario in DCS. You could build a mission in which the USAF wants to launch some cargo or a satellite into space but is being hindered by enemy forces.

This is exactly what I had in mind

At first I thought about a simple pvp mission where blue has to escort the barge while red has to steal the rocket but the booster is much bigger than I expected, it would look ridiculous dangling underneath a helo.
Maybe I can break down the booster into several pieces as if it crashed on the barge and then red needs to recover the various parts.

I also found a long term project :grinning:

I know a certain brit who salivates profusely at the very thought of ever being able to fly that thing

A few weeks ago I was sitting outside and heard an odd helicopter flying by - something distinctly not a local H-60 or air ambulance.

The angle of the patio roof meant that I never actually caught sight of it but it was unique sounding enough that I pulled out Foreflight to see if he was squawking and look up its N-number and type. Sure enough, it was one of those. I was kicking myself I didn’t go out from under the patio to try to see it.

This one here, to be exact:

Have you noticed any funny business with the AI? I’m building some missions to fly her but sometimes the AI do weird stuff like fly at 126KIAS when they’re programmed to fly 250KIAS, freezing on the bow of the ship when launched, etc.

I can’t say I have. I just did a quick flight with a few AIs (air start) but I didnt really pay attention to their behaviour and the info bar was turned off so I didn’t see their airspeed.

Well if they didn’t stall themselves out then it worked for you lol. When I set them higher than 10,000ft they seem to have issues.

Absolutely speechless!
The crew as well is modeled beyond any reasonable expectation!

So impressive!

Everything is well modeled. It’s a blast to fly. I just wish the HUD fidelity were a tad better and wished the radios worked. Formation flying and doing traps-and-go’s are hella fun.

That last one I can’t tell whether it’s real or not! Incredible pics, well done!
