Butterfly setup during a BFM Training session with my Squadron:

I used to play quite a lot on the City Life server back in the ArmA 1 days. It was a lot of fun

I’ll have a link for a small part of the mod this weekend, I’m still busy polishing it. While the lights look quite good during low light hours they are nearly invisible during the day.
I just need to stop converting new models and focus on finishing what I got!

The project for the campaign stalled, both because of personal and external factors.
I’m really itching to get back to it tho. I’ve been thinking the Marianas would be a nice playground for a civie campaign and maybe a good opportunity to bring some new civilian units. I’ll get in touch with ED once I have something more solid.

It’s a rescue vehicle, mate! It’s based on a 90’s TV show from Australia called Police Rescue.
I was dying to get a diecast model of that car as a kid. It took 25 years and it’s digital but I’m quite happy with it!

The day began with a 4:00 AM breakfast, briefing, and dawn departure. Escort again. The target, a well defended switch yard says the briefer. Hell, everything is well defended I thought.

A puff of gray cotton materializing near the port wing of a Fortress signaled that the group had reached coastal battery range. Then the aircraft’s #1 engine vomited flame and #2 emitted a white stream of vapor. The bomber staggered on. But another flash just off the nose and the plane began a shallow dive, dropping slowly out of formation. To my horror it collected two more Forts from the box below. Get out boys! Miraculously, I counted eighteen parachutes from the three stricken bombers.

Witnesses to their group’s malaise, the bomber formation began deconstructing at its core.

I suppose that since I was above the bombers and feeling shielded from flak, an 88 crew sent a wakeup shell with my name on it.

Before I could react, a horrific bang and and impact on the back and bottom of my seat. Bastards!! Disbelief overcame common sense and I flew on for a few moments. But resistance dissolved when checking aft, I saw flames engulfing the empennage. No further invitation needed, I slid back the hood, dragged myself partially into the slipstream, and was summarily ripped out, tumbling violently. Although I pulled the D-ring hard enough to sprain my thumb, I would find it a few days later in my jacket pocket. The parachute canopy cracked open, followed by a sharp deceleration, then the soft flapping of silk. For a little while longer, the formation could be heard overhead droning on. As I swung there, over-gripping the risers, I wondered if I had neglected to tighten my leg straps sufficiently.

My throat burned. In the last moments of my descent, I saw that my Thunderbolt was in such a sad state, that she hadn’t traveled far. She lay in a field before me, burning painfully bright. Goodbye baby. Although I treated you rough, you saved my miserable butt anyway.

Limping on swollen knee, I pondered what to say. Bonne journée. Je suis venu pour vous sauver, sans mon avion. Veuillez me cacher?

Thanks bennyboy. Is there a d/l link in one of the HP channels?

download link in the video description… or click me

For those wondering, externally it’s a Super Bug. It uses the C model cockpit with a hybrid digital UFC.

You’ll need OVGME or JSGME. It will not pass IC when hopping on an IC enabled server.

Man at this rate I’m going to be flying user mods more than actual modules. Time to go Weaseling with the Growler!

Does it get the extra fuel and hardpoints?

Looking through the ME, no on the extra fuel. For the E/F you cannot mount anything on the extra hardpoints, but on the G you can mount HARMS there in addition to the wing-mounted jammers on the middle stations.

These are locked limitations within the core DCS files for the FA-18. And it would be legitimately impossible for any user to make a unique flight model of a Super Hornet and still have any of its combat capabilities.

So the trade off is, a fully capable Super hornet that has the same “stats” as the legacy,
or the we can try to spend thousands and thousands of hours making an EFM equivalent to the T45, or A4, but would undoubtably lack any form of sophisticated radar, weapons or any other combat capability

I’ve been flying around the Caucasus Map for the last week with Barthek’s new texture preview and I can’t get enough of it. Also using Taz’s excellent tree and runway texture mods.

Are they Multiplayer IC friendly @will2360?

Not sure on the IC compatibility since I don’t do multiplayer. Few things on the mods, Barthek’s Texture mod is only a preview of his new WIP. It’s only summer season for now. His 2020 version has been out since late last year. The link for the new one is on page 8 of his thread linked here-

Better Trees I use the Dark version and think that looks the best. The really good thing about the trees is they eliminate the god awful LOD flickering that the default trees do when you lower the forest details. You can lower it all the way down with Taz’s trees and they won’t do that and still look great.

I also use Mustang’s Shader mod 0.7. Tweaks the lighting a bit and looks great.
