It flies very nose low compared to other DCS helicopters as well, that picture is fairly difficult to get used too. It makes slow flight a lot more tricky as when you slow, the horizon is way below the nose and you are blind.
I find its much easier when readying for an attack to slam the nose to 15 - 20 degrees, bleed 50 knots and then lower the nose 5 degrees per 50 knots until you get below 150, then lower to 5 degrees and make your attack with ATGM’s. Drop the nose and turn to the left and let the torque help you evade and escape.
FYI I’ve only been hit by SAMs from head on. The countermeasures are really effective from about 40 degrees off the nose.
Testing out the RotorOps mission generator. It seems to need a lot of fine tuning to get AI to do what you want, but Liberation is the same. AI wingman won’t follow “engage” orders unless you put a waypoint action to attack a group.
