No no, I like it.
Low level bombing raid on Carentan
Take off at Funtington:
Turning south over the English coast:
Flying very low to avoid FLAK and AAA:
Ingress:
Bombs away
Here I’m trying to create a more accurate flow or shape of the exhaust gases for missiles.
I have also worked on another livery for the F-16.
A fictional “Super Viper” with some upgrades and improvements to reduce it’s radar signature or RCS.
That includes diamond shapes wherever possible. Reworked parts include the engine, panels/seams , nose cone, landing gear doors, exhausts/vents and more.
I took inspiration from aircraft like the Raptor, Super Hornet and YF-23.
It was a real challenge to transform a non stealthy aircraft into a believable and authentic 4++ generation fighter and there are limits obviously.
But, for what it actually is, I think it turned out fairly decent.
This is a skin for a virtual squadron in an all matte black paint.
This Super Viper has all the 4++ generation improvements. In addition to that it is coated with a relatively intact Radar Absorbent Material as it is also found on the F-22 Raptor. Similar to the Have Glass paints.
You know with all the right angles on that bird, and the straight-up-the-intake look at the compressor face, putting a stealth coating on a viper is like putting lipstick on a pig… As in: might work, in the dark, late saturday night, on certain people…
Looks deadly!
You know I’ve actually been wondering if its possible to do PB launches off the Mig-29 in DCS lol
It is! Its as simple as selecting air to ground mode, selecting the harms, launch override and fire!
You will need to edit your Mig-29S unitpayload lua to equip it.
Took some Flak during a bombing mission in Normandy - limping home on one engine:
Cruising off the coast just north of Carentan - 7lbs Boost, 2750RPM, ~250mph IAS - It will easily go 320mph IAS at this altitude. The Mosquito is fast!
Mosquito in its natural habitat, 275mph, 15ft altitude:
Intercepting a large flight of C-47 carrying airborne troops during the night of 04./05.06.1944
I’d be Like:
“Turn off your High Beams!”
