Mid to late 1980s. Iraqi Fighters conducting CAP operations over Syria.
An Iraqi Air Force Section crosses border and toys with Syrian Radar Controllers.
They are chasing a low flying Syrian An-26B Cargo Transport which had been flying back towards Syria from a makeshift runway just inside Iraqi boundaries. Wingman from Leader is sent to dispatch the An-26B Cargo Transport aircraft.
Mission accomplished. The Iraqi Section heads back towards their home base.
External fuel tanks are dropped due to radar warning from what is believed to be Syrian SAM Battery. Intelligence had indicated a Syrian SA-2 Battery.
The result of the two Iraqi pilots (me as leader) not understanding how to read the Mirage-F1 RWR.

A Russian Fulcrum tried to knock me out of the sky with an R-60, but only served to anger me as I had to use the gun for some of the armor on the highway.

Viper fixes + VR is making me fall in love with the Viper all over again. Something weird is going on with the TGP and JDAMs though. STPT is frequently off, TGP won’t ground stabilize on the STPT, and the second JDAM dropped consistently misses by about 8 meters.

I don’t think I’ve ever tried using those KGMU Dispenser pods. Looks like I’ll have to make another mission focused on using them.

i would be careful using a lot of these at one time (for a lot, i mean more than about two separate hinds)

a couple of days ago i picked up the Mossie … finally managed to have a flight in it today
the cockpit is amazing in VR, it really feels like you are sat beside that big merlin
making sure certain things work
and my first landing … not bad … busted tail wheel where i touched the brakes a tad hard.
overall easier to land and takeoff than the spitfire

And how close they are 
IMHO for a VR experience the Mossie is one of the best modules so far.
That reminds me, I really need to spend some more time with this bird… which is coincidentally exactly what I said about the woman who became my wife
