Spending more time in the Hawk these days.
These shots are just really something else, pretty cool!
With this livery I tried to convert the original Viper into a “Super Viper” similar to the Super Hornet. So with visuals or textures in mind those changes would include new parts, panel lines and other small things. For me the challenge with this is to make these changes somewhat believable but I think it turned out fairly well.
I used my old XL livery and put it onto this new Viper for a demo.
These were some of the early flights. I decided against the F-35 like panels on the main fuselage and instead went with whole plates replacing the many original panels there.
Close up of the diamonds near the engine nozzle.
We lost a british hawk, and gained an American one :),
Two missions in to Horrido and loving it so far. Much more immersive than the Big Show, and performance has been pretty good for my VR setup so far. The “choose your own story” options in each mission are great too.
Just having a quick flight in the Hind and doing the weapon range instant mission
i dont remember ever seeing these buildings in the Caucasus…
Probably because you were going mach 2 at angels forty with your hair on fire ![]()
Hoooly christ those are some stunning shots… they’re definitely going in my Desktop folder!
Revamping my Channel Sandbox with F10 menu tasks and AI support to make things less sterile when I learned a valuable lesson: Never attack AI boats.
Rolling in for bombs after the other Mossies dropped theirs, when the schnellboot opened up on me and mangled…something around the tail judging by how violently the stick was slapping up and down.
Still had rockets I needed to unload, so I pointed myself in the general direction of the U-boat as he sent tracers all around my starboard engine, somehow missing me completely.
The AI got torn up good. No idea what happened to the third guy.
15 minutes of struggling to fly home with the stick violently whacking me in the belly, she calmed down under 190mph and was docile enough to land, though the controls were very mushy. Heard a horrible grinding noise on touchdown and had little steering ability.
Turns out my vert stab was shredded, I lost half my port elevator, and I had a grocery cart caster for a tail wheel.
I"m really enjoying flying some of the WW2 campaign missions. Cranking up the sound when taxing in an Anton is very satisfying lol. Sometimes I just sit and rev the engine
Sometimes I prang my crate
My buddies looking on not sure what to make of me
Me, hanging my head out the side of the cockpit during start up.Not a care in the world
It’s a shame I died in a fiery crash on take off
Here’s some more shots of my cirrus cloud mod I’m working on. I’m using the old Cirrus.fx shader that’s been around since the beginning of time. I’ve tried creating cirrus type clouds with the new cloud rendering in clouds.lua but can’t get results I’m happy with. The thing that’s driving me crazy is the cirrus layer fades in and out every 3 minutes. I can’t figure out what function in cirrus.fx is doing that.
