I imagine this is how a lot of Germans felt with RAF, RCAF, FFA & USAF aircraft zipping around at low altitude all the time!

I have a quick question for @NineLine …
in the description of the germany map it mentions ā€œpower plants and electricity gridā€

A: is this functional and can we turn out the lights, with a gbu

B: in the dynamic campaign can you knock out logistics production by knocking out the power to a factory

I’d bet it’ll be even more tactical- knocking out primary power to command, control, early warning, and communications infrastructure.

Because some of those sites may have backup general generators on-site, but maybe not all of them.

Or a CBU-94…

Off-topic: I love the lyrics of that one: the clashing of pride and shame over all of the history, while mocking nazi beliefs in rhyme is just :chefs_kiss:

It’s such a shame the singer is an Arschl*** and probably a rapist.

…This should be Fun!!!
Known Issues:

  • We are aware about bug with oversized explosion craters appearing in some cases, it is very sporadic bug and we are working on debugging it
  • Automatic Mission State save for .sav missions on dedicated server when you stop or restart mission does not take into account clients/players current positions at the moment of save and just returns them at their starting points. Other manual save methods does account positions and save them.
  • While you are inside simulation there are some hotkeys combinations still active even when you are typing file name in dialogue window for the Mission Save file. Avoid using SHIFT+R to write capital R as it will also be read by simulation as a command that by default mapped to mission restart action. Best workaround is to not use capital letters for typing while in the dialogue window during the game.

You know, first time I saw them on stage and the singer was beating a floppy phallic object on the keyboard player will singing ā€œbend over, I order you, turn your face away from me. Bend over. once again, I don’t care about your faceā€ (buck dich befehl ich dir, wendet dein Antletzt ab von mir. Buck dich, noch einmal. Dein Gesicht ist mir egal.), I had an inkling these people might not be the most savory of characters.

Love their music, and Rock n Roll needs to be filthy and disgusting at times, its what sets it apart from wholesome boybands, yeah?

I’m not expecting them to be polite, soft-spoken angels who go around apologizing whenever they insult someone.

But ā€œno rapeā€ isn’t that high of a bar that it should be a problem for anyone IMHO

  • AI aircraft. Added new ā€œAnchoredā€ orbit for tankers. This allows custom leg length and width for orbit.

OoooOoooo time to dig out that old refueling manual that I tucked away somewhere so I can learn how these anchors work.

Started digging for this, then realized that it would probably make a for a good listen. Available on Audible.

Can’t find the actual track diagram (it was in a binder at the sector) but here’s a description of one I used to work oh, 30 years ago. Looks the same, from the description (a lot of mil airspace in this part of the country; hard to add to it so not surprised it appears the same):

AR-658

From the AP1/B

Most of this is simply the geographical description. Highlighted parts hint at some of the procedures we followed for it.

Used mostly by Luke Vipers but B-1’s would pop up out of an IR route (forget the number), get gas there, then go on their way.

The ATC side procedures/phraseology. Looks to be the same:

https://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/publications/atpubs/atc_html/chap9_section_2.html
Scroll to section 9-12-3 MILITARY AERIAL REFUELING

A smidge beyond 1/2-way down. Again, can’t find the actual chart, its easier to grok that way.

Found a generic/simplified illustration:

We only cared about the AR-IP (and exit points, not shown here).

Note the protected airspace is larger than the track flown (not shown in this simple illustration).

Linear tracks are different in that they pass gas from Point-1 to Point-n, with many points in between. Normally associated with a ALTRV (we pronounced it ā€œAl-Travā€) - just a route with a gaggle of fighters cycling on/off a tanker, with a block altitude and more lateral separation.

Being flown, usually, in the mid-20’s, these ALTRV’s weren’t in the way for enroute stuff. However, you couldn’t ā€˜mess’ with the ALTRV - you kept everyone else away from the the gaggle as they moved along.

You can definitely tell how he progressed as an author with his later works. I read Team Yankee years after read some of his other stuff. It was a good novel, but the dialogue definitely was not as well written as his later works.
