DCS 2.9

If it was a spinning platter HDD it was probably more like 200 mb/s in practise

Yeah, you’re right - my system ssd is SATAIII I even benchmarked it when the PC was new - IIRC it had ~550 MB/s transfer, the HDD had way less than that, so you’re right with the 200MB/s.

Holy moly …

The SA-5 got its correct tracking radar I guess. SAM launch SA-5, they even keep flying towards the last known position and continue tracking once the radar reacquires track:

That SA-5 is over 130 nautical miles away:

Love it. They are properly scary at a huge distance and will kill you if you don’t take the threat seriously

I don’t trust anything Spud says after that whole ā€œhurdur I’m a real L-39 pilotā€ fiasco where Mover made him eat crow for lying.

Oh, is that the same Spud? :man_facepalming:t2:

Ignore everything I wrote above

That was silly given how widespread the L-39 is in North American hangars.

I have L-39 time. It’s not like it’s all that special. C’mon, at least fib about something REALLY neat.

EDIT: I’m not sure his ā€˜insider’ info was all that different from what we’ve already confirmed, but yeah. He’s actually spot on.

Yeah, it makes sense and I suspected something like that after Nick’s initial response.

To be fair the video could have been 3 minutes long and the diagram he drawn is dreadful for so many reasons.

This whole dispute is about the money, what’s sad is that we as customres who PAID for Razbam modules suffer the most, since if RB and ED will not work this out we will potentialy loose functionality of all the RB aircraft as DCS goes forward (I own M2000, Harrier and the Mudhen).

In the end we who have paid for the modules are screwed the most.

It’s been months since I first read about the Super Tucano for the Equadorian AF being the base of the dispute… It’s not like it’s news or anything.

Something really cool happened when I extended my landing gear in the F-4E today. The left main gear was stuck for a moment (maybe 2-3s) before it locked in the down position. I love these little quirks in the F-4E. Makes you feel like you are not just flying a sterile jet that works 100% fine every time without making it a frustrating experience. I have to admit that for a moment I was worried I got hit by something during the mission which damaged the landing gear.

Did you find out why jester wouldn’t lock the ground for the bomb run …

No, it worked fine when flying with schurem after respawning in Gütersloh.

Speaking of the Phantom, @PaulRix and @Maico, have you guys noticed that your landings are better in the F-4E with FFB? Maybe it’s a placebo effect, but it seems like I have a lot more feel when the plane is in the flare and right on the edge of losing lift.

That is not surprising. Heatblur specifically mentioned that the simulation of the flight control system was designed with FFB in mind

What hardware do you have?

Moza AB9. Using the Moza F-4E preset with some minor tweaks.
