It’s the orange button up and to the right on the stick. It disengages the “autopilot”.
The autopilot-stabilization system in the Viggen is called Styrautomat which directly translates to Steering Automat.
Should the Styrautomat encounter any problems, the pilot must be able to disengage it.
SNURK is short for…
Snabburkoppling which translates directly to rapid disengagement. So, if you want a english translation to SNURK, I’d suggest RADIS
In dutch SNURK means SNORE XD
That is going in the memory bank… I think I will have ample opportunity to use it, e.g. next time that I inadvertantly end up in an argument with the Mrs, it will be my new word to end it
Holy moley this one’s a doozy! Smooth as butter and the Su-27 looks like new! Love it!
Does anyone else have this problem? If so, which controller is affected?
It’s my stick and only the modifier button. If no one else is having the issue, maybe it’s something else unrelated on my system. I swapped my GPU last week and temporarily unplugged my USB controls to do this. But it’s weird that it affects one button on one controller, albeit a major button. I also removed the .openbeta from the Saved Games and DCS world game folders.
Flew a CASE I today. Massive difference with the flight model and FCS updates. Engine response time is massively improved and the FCS holds AoA much better. It used to drift quite a bit with the constant throttle changes during CV ops but now it’s rock solid once you’re trimmed out in landing config.
I also immediately noticed the kneeboard. I usually fly with the Pilot model enabled, turn it on after start up. The functional kneeboard is very nice.
Edit: BTW anyone noticed that someone painted our hornits panels with glossy black paint and didn’t tape off every part of the cockpit. There are some glossy brush strokes next to a few panels
Well That Didn’t Go Well
Seems like my “Hard” Landings Won’t be Forgiven quite as easily

I’m feeling a difference in the flight model…I need to be much more active on the throttle to hold AOA to board The Boat…also it seems they fixed that Pesky micro-freeze bug that we’ve had for a while…Performance in VR is very Nice!!
I’m in vacation … well I’m transitioning through a tent in Erbil right now… But about to start vacation… Few more hours…
Saw a model of the new Su-27 on YT. It looks pretty spiffy. Your comments on FC3 got me wanting to try some of that again.
I’m holding out hope for Phantastic things to happen while I am away from my beloved PC . Keep me posted fellas.
I smell something big coming
Ah. Steuerautomatschnellentkopplung (STAUTSCHENT). Alles klar
How hard did you slam her down?
I am not sure what you mean with this:
I flew my CASE I like I always have and it felt like flying on easy mode, the only thing that threw me off a little was the throttle response. When transitioning out of the turn into the groove you used to have to reduce throttle quite a lot and immediately punch it back in to avoid ballooning but the much quicker throttle response requires much less throttle work during this transition. Otherwise it’s now incredibly stable, the AoA was bang on even with rapid throttle changes. It used to drift around the trim position with throttle changes and that’s now much reduced.
Pretty Hard!!
I need to really “Work” my Throttles to keep a good/constant speed and AOA…I’m a bit Fat Though at !0k lbs fuel
Oh yeah that’s quite heavy. Both times I flew, I was down to about 6500lbs. Two (empty) bags, 2xAIM-9X, 1xAIM-120C, ATFLIR
@Phantom88 Dude, you had to have plunked that thing like a 400 pound stripper on a greased pole! Like, Gorlock the Destroyer is jealous of how ugly that is. Your AME is gonna be PISSED!
All FC3 Aircraft got PBR External and Cockpit texture upgrades.
All but the Su-25A/T/TM Externals.
