40% less trees. That’s a big deal in both getting RAZBAM back on track and improving SA performance.

Lots of Apache Love as well

The addition of the Massun asset pack = BIG deal (to me).

As was my worry with the addition to the core game it wiped out previous assets from the mod. Many bases in my missions looking very empty right now.

Ick. Sorry to hear that. I share in the frustration.

I’ll recover but it’s a few months of tweaking gone. Still having it included for everyone is a great addition.

With all the changes to DCS lately, do you still have to start the sim using MT exe to get multi-thread or main exe?

No, I use ST on my dev box daily (it loads faster for some reason with old spinning disk drives).

Ooops, I meant the default is ST, in the BIN folder (not BIN_MT)

I don’t get ā€œMultithreadedā€ in the version number unless I use Bin_MT.

Those were the days! There are songs I still ā€˜hear’ [in my head] the ker-chunk in the middle of the song when the track changes over.

And this fun:

This fun was not funny at all when it happened with my ZX Spectrum tapes :grimacing:

I don’t know, DCS loads in seconds on my SSD once it starts loading. The CP stuff during the splash screens is still slow, of course.

Anyone with VR having the F10 map bug where hitting F10 causes weird FPS and tracking issues in 3D? This used to happen to me a few updates ago but was fixed until this recent update. Could be, with the Pantom, I am just asking too much of the GPU.

No, but the F10 map load seems to take longer. Probably stating the obvious, but on launch, I’ve found that it’s more stable to wait until all of the cockpit graphics to load before clicking Fly. I’m still running SSD drives, so there’s that. I remember when they used to be considered fast.

Also, always recenter the F10 map on your aircrafts location before going back to the Cockpit. This way there’s no lag when returning from the F10 map

Really? I never thought of that. Cool. Thanks!

(Just in case that sounded sarcastic, it wasn’t. Totally new solution to me)

Ooohh. NIce, never thought of that one…

I did try it though and still had the game bug in F10. Phortunately I had a human WSO flying 2D so he could make all of the F10 calls.
