It amazes me how well he remembers the details. I can barely remember the systems of the Global that I last flew a couple of years ago… and I am certainly no expert on the King Air after being out of that airplane for over a decade.

LOTR is about 1000 pages. I’ve read it several times.
There are a few others and I’ve read most of them more than once.
Fiction is a lot easier to read than a manual, though.
