DCS: F-5E Tiger II

With that f5E promo vid, how many tomcats were harmed in its creation. You know @near_blind would agree that no such thing would happen if it was an f111.

We’d need an F-111 in DCS to find out :kissing:::notes:

I can see myself flying a lot of strike missions in this thing. One clearly defined target, a precise flightplan, one low level bombing run with snakeyes, RTB

HOTEL SIERRA! :astonished:

That’s what I said last night when the Mig 21’s absolutely ate me for breakfast… its like they knew I was crap or something and everyone of them came for me…

Shouldn’t it be rum? After all, it’s the Navy.

Wrong Navy, sad to say. American ships have been dry since 1914, thanks to a tee totalling North Carolina newspaper owner named Josephus Daniels, who was SecNav under Woodrow Wilson.

Asshole.

I am reading “Rampant Raider” right now, and there is a funny scene when a US pilot goes on board of a British carrier and realizes they have a BAR there because on the US carrier the biggest drink they could get was about 50 milliliters or so. Once on the whole cruise.

If you’re out to sea for more than 45 days in a row, the CO can authorize a beer day- everybody on the crew gets 2 beers, usually warm Budweiser. I never experienced it myself, but an old roommate had three of them in a row before they pulled in anywhere.

Pilots, however, play by their own rules. Flight surgeons have brandy they give out to the aircrews after particularly stressful flights.

Is that the reason why the Brits always put their subs in places where they don’t belong? I gotta agree with the US Navy then, better sober than sorry.

The best Reactor start-ups and steam plant light offs were done by a watch team still drunk from the night before.

And we put our subs where they don’t belong too- we just don’t get caught.

Well yeah, unless you have a smash-y with the french, or just generally find yourself sinking

It’s amazing how unsafe submarines are and how frequently they manage to smash into eachother, which should be rather difficult given the vast amount of ocean and the little amount of submarines out there.

Oh we get caught -

Ralfi’s F-5E combat trials. IMO, he does a pretty good job of hashing out good ACM strategies in this aircraft.
