Or worse, going to a party with some nice guys she met at Navy Fed, all with sweet new - ish V-6 Mustangs.
And now I think I need to go watch Jetstream again before this thing comes out.
Do some of that Pilot Stuff!!!

I just realized @Fridge neglected to post the other announcement today.
Now we’ve got the proper tools…
I have a question and it’s got nothing to do with the hornet per se but these videos show ppl click and drag rotaries rather than scrolling as I do. How to get mouse wheel to do that ?
you click it (LMB) then drag. you too can do that CiB! YES!
Ok thanks I was doing it with MMB press and drag Doh ![]()
The hours I have spent rolling the MMB to tune in ADF freq’s in the huey
So, release on Canada Day confirmed.
Zuni rocket, zuni rocket lalalala boom sha boom lalalala boom sha boom ![]()
If you guys are not going to do the same ruckus once the Intruder is in Early Access I’m going to take it unnecessarily personally…
I’m very strongly considering disappearing off the internet during the F-14’s release cycle. Look at how I’m acting over the F/A-18, which is very clearly my side piece. I don’t want to imagine what I turn into when I see all the personalities playing with my main devotion and I can’t participate. ![]()
It’s gonna be fine. Why don’t you become one of them? Make a few youtube vids commenting with some of that inside navy talk (and or some navy salt) on some F/A-18 flying and next time they send you that key to get that sweet inside scoop ![]()
Ok, am i the only one that noticed the flying kangaroo???
F111 confirmed
Don’t open that door:)

So @boomerang10 - just curious…is there a required left and right DDI page setup when you are coming aboard the carrier or is it totally up to the preference of the pilot? I’ve been watching some Hornet videos (the You Tube spiral of death) and some show guys coming aboard with the checklist page and FCS while others might have the HUD up. Or does it just depend on the weather and other factors?

There’s fairly standard techniques but ultimately they are just that - techniques. The norm is HUD on the left and FCS on the right during landing and takeoff but it’s not mandatory.
Personally if I’m coming back to the boat and I know I need to dump, I prefer to keep the checklist page up on either the left or the UFCD until after I’ve dumped down below landing weight.
Edit - Those two pages are also conveniently the “safest” displays to have up for recording cockpit footage. There’s no tactical information up on those in the NAV mastermode, other than RWR indications on the HUD if you leave those on - I like to remove those from the HUD to remove distractions for landing anyway.
What time does ED normally push out patches on a “patch day”?
I was wondering the same. I got an updater update earlier this morning but nothing else so far. Updater updated to 2.7.2.50
Hornet is out.
