You’re certainly not alone in wanting a fresh pit. I would fully expect a clean version to arrive at some point.
I am with @Troll on this. I have complained about the Tomcat for years. I woul really like a 1976 Tomcat fresh off the line. Or in this case a 1960 Hun. I get how hard they work but always wished a fresh pit was an option.
I’m assuming the wear is similar to the one they had access to? I agree having a factory fresh cockpit as an option would be nice for any module.
I haven’t flown the Tomcat a lot but 2/2 times I flew an early A model recently, I got a super-fresh looking pit. One was when my dad was trying my setup and he even complained at the lack of wear ![]()

Didn’t Heatblur plan on having a “Weather with Age” type of Dynamic cockpit to come to their aircraft?
The MiG-19 came with both a fresh and a worn out. Think the rerelease of the hog does too.
Im going to go see that… like right Now!
I guess so as well. And that aircraft probably hadn’t been in a serviceable state for decades.
I am 100 percent on board w this. I see this happen w other aircraft in DCS. However, the new F-5 looks good. Some wear but still looks good and serviceable. This should be the standard.
The F-100 looks like it was made in '55, served in Vietnam for 10 years, National Air Guard for 10 more years before sitting in a desert junkyard for another decade. A 3 to 5 yr old pit would do a lot for the module.
I said that last week ![]()
I have a bad memory but I dont remember an aircraft having so much hype and pre-release promotion. I am glad I preordered. Hoping to see that Start Up video from Grinelli or Wags soon.
Exciting Times!
12 June is the Patch. I got High Hopes!!!
Pink Floyd immediately starts playing in my head ![]()
And if the Hun is as they say it is, we will all be “Learning to fly”. Might be so hard to land that we decide to instead get “Comfortably Numb” ![]()
And when the Sabre dance starts everybody will “Run like Hell”.
Or else, youll just become “Just another Brick on the Wall”
