Now THAT is genius
i can just imagine the dash in your cab that colour
Also the red instrument lights are way cooler than nato greenish tint
Looking at that dev report, they could release it now, lets face it its in a better shape now than the F16 was on release

:high five: da comrade, we shall strike fear into the hearts of those capitalist running dogs and their lackeys! Gorgeous teal cockpit shall give us peace of mind to aim true and fly crocodile like ballerina of sky!
This is much closer to release than I thought! How wonderful! I will definitely be buying this bird.
It will be interesting to see how they’ll deal with the crew management for single player - something similar to Jester, perhaps?
We can hope!
It may have been a bad move for ED to let Heatblur release AI first as they set the bar pretty damn high, even despite the quirks and limits that Jester has.
ED would be smart to license Jester AI, which was designed to be open-ended (hopefully for that A-6 “Tiger AI” ). OFC, ED has also shown that they prefer to reinvent the wheel (exhibit A: in-game comms vs SRS).
An interesting discussion regarding a Jester like AI of the Hind…“Jesterski”…or just Jester but pronounced with a soft J…phonetically “Yester”
But beyond that…that the UH-1 has a very simple pilot AI (fly straight and leveler orbit) that allows one to be a door gunner or the co-pilot with that atrocious gunsight. Likewise, the Mi-8 also can be put on a sort of AI-autopilot (think the flight engineer keeps you level by tweaking the AP).
So perhaps some AI basic piloting skills are all that is needed…line up for the attack, put the Hind in a gentle dive, and then jump to the gunner to do all the AT missile stuff. The AI knows when to pull out of the dive and maybe climbs back to a safe altitude and circles around.
Just a thought.
For the AT-6 system, the Mi-24 really needs to be flying straight and level for the duration of launch, if not hovering. The gunner has to “keep the thing in the thing” until impact, similar to other SACLOS systems (Gazelle with HOT is the closest representation we have currently). There’s really not much for the gunner to do in the Mi-24 outside of that, though in true multicrew we’d probably trade flying duties over the flight when someone needs a break, etc. Given this, the basic autopilot from the UH-1/Mi-8 is more than adequate, holding a constant speed and altitude while you guide the missile. Alternatively, the gunner only really needs to know how to guide missiles to the target.
This isn’t a western attack helicopter; you go in, you shoot, you go home!
Plus you drop off a small infantry force as well…
You also get to look like something a victim of project MK-Ultra imagined as his worse fear doing it as well
Guided missiles are for wimps. Real soviet man sprays target area in S-8 projectiles, those AT-6’s are for show only.
